One thing sad about being far away from my mother is not being able to share special moments together . Each time I return to Singapore, which is every three months, there will be so many things to talk about, stories to tell, pictures to show which will result in both of us losing our voice or developing a severe throat irritation from all the laughing. Fun no doubt but painful nonetheless.

So I was really excited when I came upon a site today that was promoting a different than normal kind of Digital Photo Frame. With a CEIVA digital photo frame, you can receive photos directly from a computer or camera phone from across the globe. Imagine the number of photos my mom will get each day from me of my cats, of the food I’m eating and of special events. And I can receive the same thing from her and other relatives and friends each morning I wake up!

The technology is so simple. All you need to do is to purchase the CEIVA photo frame, register and activate your PicturePlan® membership and start sending your photos from your computer or straight from your camera phone directly to the frame. As easy as I23.

Need for convincing? Visit the site yourself and experience the difference! And hurry as they have a special offer going on as well!

I know if my friends were to read this, they probably gag because they keep telling me “you are not fat”… but i keep telling them.. “yeap.. but i need to tone my body and I’m lazy to do any form of exercise and I don’t like seeing myself naked”…heheh..

Anyway..I digress…

I was merrily reading my newspaper one day, a long time ago, a cup of coffee in hand, and I saw this ad…

“Try our slimming package for $10 only – free consultation and advice”

Hmm.. $10.00? I could spare that amount. I called them up and made an appointment to see them. I shall spare you the details of the interview, the part where the consultant asked me to undress, told me to stand in front of the mirror and tell me what needs to go.. what needs to be toned, how much I need to lose… etc etc…. Embarassing moment, I tell you 🙁

Anyway, after much pestering to get me to sign up for their package and after relentless “no, not yet” from me, to give credit to the slimming center, they did materialize their offer and before I knew it, I was in towels and disposable undies and all prepped up for the herbal scrub and sauna that was to follow. Sounds yummy??.. It was….heavenly 🙂

About fifteen minutes passed, the therapist, or so they call themselves, came in and asked me to shower one more time and get ready for the next treatment. This time, she used these electric nodes thingy that is placed on areas that I wanted toned. But not before she took measurements of all the areas first that is, I guess as proof of any reduction…hehehe…

After I got all hooked up, I was asked to lie down on this table, all covered up and made cozy and told to relax while tiny electric pulses ran through me. She told me that if for some reason, I became nauseous to press this button that she placed next to me.

Forty minutes came and went off and a timer buzzed and Irene, the therapist, came back in with what looked like plastic wrap. Hmm… After removing all the nodes, she asked me to get up and started massaging me with this cold cream. Next, she asked me to put my hands out and up and to my horror, started wrapping me with the plastic wrap and placed me into a heated blanket.. Now I know how that chicken feel just before it gets baked…lolzz.. To make story ultra short, I lost 3 inches of my waist, 1.5 inches off each of my thighs and 0.5 inches off each of my boobs arms.

On the whole, I had a great experience at the slimming center and I recommend it to anyone who wants to give it a try. However, be strong, this people are trained to brainwash you into signing up for their package. Don’t bring excess cash or credit card when visiting them.

AND!!…. this is the end of my 30’s too.. an end to my 30’s era… it looks like I need to get seniors life insurance for next year. Ohh … stressing out….LOL!

Oh why oh why can’t I still look like Jennifer Aniston!

I heard of the term cerebral palsy only recently while blog hopping. I was reading someone’s blog and it seemed that she was the parent of a child suffering from the condition. I suspected that it might have something to do with the brain but I wanted to be sure. So I searched out Wikipedia and found the info.

There is no known cure and treatment can be expensive. My heart goes out to anyone suffering from it.

God bless!

OMG!! Who should I blame if I can’t see my collar bone again? My mother-in-law! That’s who!

We were over at my in-laws last Monday and was leaving the house when she told me that she had some chocolates and nougats that she wanted me to try. So I tried one and it was so delicious. She must have seen it on my face and the next thing I knew, she had pack a plastic full of them for me! Bless her!

Awesome right? Hmm.. not so much for my diet! LOL! Perhaps mama, next time you could packed some Leptorexin as well ya! Love ya!

It’s not the same since Miss Fly died on me on 1st December. I’ve been sharing PC with Azwaj and as much I adore and appreciate his generosity I do feel bad displacing him each time I need to blog hop or write some post at all my eight blogs. Some of my blogs are left without updates as well as I can’t transfer pictures for my phone to the pc as it does not have bluetooth feature. That and the fact that Azwaj’s pc never have enough hard disk space..LOL!!

But Miss Fly, my laptop, is coming back today. I’m hopping into the shower after this post, get dressed, grab breakfast and we will be on our way to Damansara!! Yihaa!!! What a wonderful day!!!

Ok.. I’ve dropped my 300 cards already for one of my blogs and I think I would retire and try to drop another 300 when I wake up. I feel like I’m walking on pins and needles now as my body ache everywhere. Even my foot feels like I have Plantar Fasciitis (painful foot condition in the heel and arch area).

So before I fall asleep here in front of the pc, I bid you goodnight or rather good morning as it is 5.20am here. Catch you later 🙂

We had an early day yesterday. We eventually send Miss Fly to the service center and I might get her back as early as next week. YEAY!! After that we had lunch and came back home. However, throughout the whole exercise, I was feeling lousy. All I wanted to do upon reaching home was to sleep. So I did. That was around 4pm.

I woke up at midnight and it felt like a dozen steel buildings have hit and landed on my head! I felt lethargic and my body ache. Azwaj had left for his office around 8pm just now so I’m all alone and taking advantage of his pc..LOL! So that is what is keeping me awake now, though I doubt I would be up long.

Oh dear.. I hope I am not coming down with something from all this rides in the rain.

I can’t believe I cried twice today! And all while watching tv. First was when I was watching Stargate Atlantis. One of the main character had this alien growth in his brain and his memory was deteriorating fast causing him to forget who he was. Surgery to remove it was impossible so he will die in a few days. Anyway, they brought his sister from earth to Atlantis and that was when the tears started to spill.

The second was when I was watching my favorite soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful. Phoebe died! OMG! There was sure a lot of touching moments there as well.

I’m really sleepy now because I had not slept since 6pm yesterday but we need to out today to send Miss Fly the other service center and get some home insurance matters handled for my father-in-law. I’m thinking that if I sleep now, I won’t not be able to wake up at 11am.. or can I?? Hmm…

Since my laptop crashed on me, I’ve had limited time on the computer simply coz one, it’s Azwaj’s pc and two because he wants to watch his favorite Sci-fi show Stargate Atlantis on it.

So instead of not doing anything, I’ve been watching the show with him. Although it’s a little far fetch for me, I must say it is quite awesome to think that there is a whole other civilization out there in the milky way and to be able to beam in and beam out into outer space is really cool – minus of course the “Replicator” who is out to dominate the human race and the “Reth” who feeds on human soul and is looking for new “feeding” ground and is targeting on earth if only they knew what co-ordinates to enter into the Stargate!

Hahaha.. do I sound like an alien to you now? LOL!

Oh I must say this.. Col Sheppard, played by Joe Flanigan, is quite the man too.. so it makes watching the show all that more bearable 🙂

Looking for a home is never easy especially when you are renting and have a budget to keep within. Most landlords don’t really care for their properties and just rent it out no matter how run down the place look and still expect us to pay market prices.

We’ve been looking for some time now and still have not met with that place that even meet 50% of our expectation. I was looking through some property website and I found one that I really like. Too bad it’s not in KL though but rather in the States and by Wilmington NC real estate.

Oh well, search on LJ!

I feel like on some sort of borrowed time since the my laptop Miss Fly went dead of me. I now have to use Azwaj’s pc and and such can only use it when he’s either not around, watching tv or sleeping. Don’t get me wrong, he’s been very generous with his pc that I named “SKULL” (because of this huge skull logo on the casing), but still I don’t feel good for taking so much of his online time as well.

So now, I’m thinking of getting a desktop for myself. Since I am doing lots of graphic work anyway and I am a sort of heavy user (understatement of the year), the desktop is always a optimal choice. It’s hardy and you can put in a super power processor which is awesome for graphics work. Then Miss Fly would just be used for when I’m on the go-go 🙂

Lookout LJ’s going techy shopping!

I got this test from Metz. Thanks for sharing the link Metz.. I love it!

ESTP – The Doers

The active and play-ful type. They are especially attuned to people and things around them and often full of energy, talking, joking and engaging in physical out-door activities.

The Doers are happiest with action-filled work which craves their full attention and focus. They might be very impulsive and more keen on starting something new than following it through. They might have a problem with sitting still or remaining inactive for any period of time.

When I was looking out to buy my laptop that I actually named Miss Fly (in case you don’t already know), I went through a period of time dreaming of owning a Sony Vaio. Not just any Vaio but the one of those coloured series. My dream was the RED one because I just love red on anything!

But alas, after going through a fibroid surgery that cost us more than RM9,000, I compensated and went with Miss Fly instead. A modest middle range cost laptop that I absolutely adore now.

Oh well, a girl can dream right?

I just love this country song from Marie Osmond and Dan Seals! Enjoy!!

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kATuoVJU9Hs&hl=en&fs=1]

***Lyrics:

Dan:
Wrote my whole life down in an old book,
Songs about you and me.
Been singing to every soul in Tennessee.
Nobody seems to listen,
No one ever smiles the way that you do.
So I guess you never hear me on the radio,
And I’d give up this crazy dream of mine to hold you once more.

Won’t you meet me in Montana.
I wanna see the mountains in your eyes.
Woah, woah, I had all of this life I can handle.
Meet me underneath that big Montana sky.

Marie:
I left home for Hollywood.
Lookin’ for a part to play.
Well you always said I had such a pretty face.
But, I guess I’m not that pretty,
‘Cause no one looks at me the way you do.
Well you’ll always be a movie star to me.
Darlin’ now I guess it’s time that I let go of that dream.

Both:
Won’t you meet me in Montana
I wanna see the mountains your eyes.
Woah, Woah I had all of this life I can handle
Meet me underneath that big Montana sky.

Well were stuck here in these hills that they call mountains.

Darlin’ back home in your arms is right where I want to be.

Won’t you meet me in Montana
I wanna see the mountains your eyes.
Woah, Woah I had all of this life I can handle
Meet me underneath that big Montana sky.

In Montana.
I wanna see the mountains in your eyes.
Woah, woah, I had all of this life that I can handle.
Meet me underneath that big Montana sky.

When I have free time on my hands, one thing that always do is play computer games 🙂 Be it strategy based games like Pharaoh or Caesar III or simply something to relax the mind like testris or pipes.

I’ve never played anything on the xbox 360 before but from what I heard it has some pretty awesome games that you can play on it. Anyone can confirm this?

One of my roles and responsibilities that I really enjoyed while working was to organize off-site events. For one, such events are great because we get to go out of the office environment and interact with one another in a more casual surrounding. It also enables us to relax and get updated with the company’s development and directions. And best of all, it also gives us an opportunity to let our hair down and get wild 🙂

The role, however, was a challenging one. Every quarter I would source out for new venues and locations to hold the offsite events. We only look for top-notch places with fully equipped conference rooms and break-out room because after the main meeting, the groups are split up according to job scope. So the consultants would converge in one room and the administrative team would break out into another room. The food must also be superb as I was dealing with people who are used to the best things in life.

If that is not headache enough, the logistics to bring the staff back from wherever they were could give me migraine. I once had to call several New York Bus Charters company from Singapore because I had to make sure the staff who were working on a case there. get to the airport on time to make it for the offsite event! Phew! Lucky that went off without a glitch.

Whatever it is… I missed my working life. I know working from home has all the benefits and what not but I missed it nonetheless…

Still on the subject of weight and how Azwaj can fit into those seemingly tight jeans, I took out my old pair today. One that I bought on our Langkawi trip five years ago. I know, I know.. it may be too ambitious and I may be disappointed but then again Azwaj did fit into his!

I wriggled into it inch by inch. Ok.. at least the thighs still fit.. Now, jeans are meant to be worn tight right?Ok.. After further wriggly it reached my waist..phew.. now let’s see if I can zip it! It’s a tight squeeze. I’m holding my breath.. nope didn’t work…Hmm..Perhaps if I lie down on the bed.. Ok ..lying down.. and still holding my breath…Sigh….

Darn it! I give up.. I may have found my collar bones this morning as I’ve mentioned in my woman blog but those diet pills are sure tempting right about now!

When I came back from Singapore the other day, I found lots of Azwaj’s jeans on the bed. I thought he was just spring cleaning his wardrobe while I was gone and thought nothing of it. I put it to one side and even forgot to ask or mention it to him.

Then yesterday, I saw a pair of jeans that he has not worn for some time on the bed. Obviously he was planning to wear it for the day. I asked him…

LJ : Darling, can you still fit into that pair? It’s been a while and it looks so small and tight.
A : Oh I’m wearing it for the second time today. I already wore it for My Evo Fest that day and it fits just fine!

“Thud!”

That was the sound of LJ fainting and dropping to the floor.

Oh my… I really need to get the best diet pill available like..NOW!

Remember this song?

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktQtXYYMIzw&hl=en&fs=1]

***Lyrics:

Hey lady, you lady
cursing at your life
you’re a discontented mother
and a regimented wife
I `ve no doubt
you dream about the things you never do
but I wish someone had a talk to me like I wanna talk to you

Oh, I’ve been to Georgia and California and anywhere I could run
Took the hand of a preacher man
and we made love in the sun
But I ran out of places and friendly faces
Because I had to be free
I’ve been to paradise but I’ve never been to me…

Please lady please lady
don’t just walk away
Cause I have this need to tell you
why I’m all alone today
I can see so much of me
still living in your eyes
won’t you share a part
of a weary heart that has lived a million lives

Oh, I’ve been to Niece and the isle of Greece
when I sipped champagne on a yacht
I moved like Harlow in Monte Carlo
and showed them what I’ve got
I’ve been undressed by kings
and I’ve seen some things that a woman ain’t s’pose to see
I’ve been to paradise but I’ve never been to me…

Hey, you know what paradise is?
It’s a lie
a fantasy we created about people and places
as we like them to be
but you know what truth is?
it’s that little baby you’re holding
and it’s that man you fought with this morning
the same one you are gonna make love to tonight
that’s truth that’s love

Sometimes I’ve been to crying for unborn children
that might have made me complete
but I, I took the sweet life
I never knew I’d be bitter from the sweet
I spent my life exploring
the subtle whoring
that costs too much to be free
hey lady I’ve been to paradise
but I’ve never been to me…

I’ve been to paradise but I’ve never been to me…

Azwaj thinks that I’m weird in that I prefer to clean the apartment when he’s not at home. I don’t know why I do that but I know I feel good when I do it. I get so lazy when he’s around. Though I still vacuum the floor daily, I only mop the floor and do the laundry when he’s not at home or when he’s asleep. I feel good when he comes home or wakes up to a spic and span apartment and goes “Ah the house is so clean darling!” I know! I’m weird!

Anyone else does that?

However, I can’t help but think sometimes, wouldn’t it be nice if we have a nice maid that comes in daily like those hotels or vacation rentals unit have and I can come home instead and say the exact same thing?.. LOL!.. Here’s wishing….

I was googling for the word “ladyjava” today.. just for fun.. and also because I needed an ego booster. Don’t ask me why though.. I just do 🙂

Anyway, guess what! The search result on the whole first page was all ME ME ME. Talk about an ego booter… LOL! It was me at MBL. Me at Technorati. Me at Twitter and Me at Blog Catalog. Well, all except for the last one, that is, and I swear I don’t know who she is. It was a nickname for someone at a forum and she refers to herself as “Java, a silly girl from California USA, who enjoys the game Poxnora”. LOL! Definitely NOT me!

While checking out the link one at time, one question came to mind. How come this blog was on second place and where is my LadyJava’s Lounge? How come LJL was only mentioned on the second page when in actual fact, it has more traffic and hits then LLP? So I did another search using yahoo this time and although it’s not on the first place, at least it’s on the top three. This blog is listed as the top two. I’m really confused now!

Perhaps I should hire a SEO master like Boston SEO to come and explain this to me.

Anyway it’s kind of fun to see a whole page of ME..LOL.. Have you googled or yahoo yourself lately?

I remember thinking that cell phone will be the bane of my existence because people, and by that I mean my bosses, would be able to reach me 24/7. Now I never leave home without it.

To me computers were only meant to play games with. In reality now, I’m earning through being online.

And cameras, well, I didn’t even take photograph much growing up and cost of developing photos were already so expensive Now I take pictures of my kitties like there is no tomorrow! LOL!

Oh you remember the talk I had with my neighbour the other day? Well it seems that the young lady that was raped and roped for a RM4 fake gold chain was actually an old lady! What is the world coming to??

Anyways, I don’t think I would be needing any movers New York or movers KL any time soon. But we are still looking.

Shania Twain – From this Moment On

***Lyrics:

(I do swear that I’ll always be there. I’d give anything and everything and I
will always care. through weakness and strength, happiness and sorrow, for
better, for worse, I will love you with every beat of my heart.)

From this moment life has begun
From this moment you are the one
Right beside you is where I belong
From this moment on

From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I’d give my last breath
From this moment on

I give my hand to you with all my heart
Can’t wait to live my life with you
Can’t wait to start
You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn’t give
From this moment on

You’re the reason I believe in love
And you’re the answer to my prayers from up above
All we need is just the two of us
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn’t give
From this moment-
I will love you as long as I live
From this moment on

On our way out today, we bumped into our neighbour. Boy, does she have a stories to tell us. It seems there are some crime going on around our condo building. There was a young lady that was held at knife point and robbed in broad daylight and then there was another teenager that was held also at knife point for a fake gold bracelet worth RM4! She was also “guided” to the secluded area and raped!

And you know what? We were actually thinking of moving into that area. Scrap that idea!

Well we are still looking. Not many houses on rent now. Most are for sale and most agents don’t want to entertain rental cases.. Perhaps coz the commission is pitiful? Oh well.. the search is still on 🙂

I stumbled upon this website on the a progesterone creme but what was interesting read at the site was how progesterone and estrogen affects the woman’s body. Very interesting I might add. For example, do you know that the progesterone creme can actually helps you relieve and control symptoms of PMS caused by too much estrogen in your body? Too much estrogen would also cause low libido! Scary!!

Anyway, here’s a list of how too much estrogen can affect the woman’s body:

ESTROGEN

PROGESTERONE

Causes breast fibrocyctsProtects against breast fibrocycts
Increases body fatHelps use fat for energy
Salt & fluid retentionNatural Diuretic
Depression and headachesNatural anti-depressant
Impairs blood sugar controlNormalizes blood sugar levels
Increased blood clottingNormalizes blood clotting
Decreases libidoIncreases libido
Reduced oxygen levels in all cellsRestores proper cell oxygen levels
Causes endometrical cancerPrevents endometrical cancer

Hm.. perhaps I need to speak to my gynae about this soon.

I was just doing the laundry yesterday when just as I was reaching out for one piece of item from the base of the washing machine, I could feel a muscle from my shoulder blade pull. Ouch!!!

::(

Thank God for great home office furniture, I was still able to finish my blog makeover job last night. Otherwise, with an absent A, I would have called in an early night yesterday!

Speaking of karaoke, here’s another song that I always duet with one of my colleagues back in Singapore..

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTF97_ve118&hl=en&fs=1]

*** Lyrics ***
Girl you are to me
All that a woman should be
And I dedicate my life to you, always
A love like yours is rare
It must have been sent from up above
And I know you’ll stay this way for, always

BRIDGE
And we both know
That our love will grow
And forever, it will be
You and me

CHORUS

Ooh, you’re like the sun
Chasing all the rain away
When you come around
You bring brighter days

You’re the perfect one
For me, and you forever will be
And I will love you so for, always
Come with me my sweet
Let’s go make a family
And they will bring us joy for always
Oh boy I love you so
Can’t find enough ways to let you know
But you can be sure I’m yours, for always

BRIDGE(REPEAT)

CHORUS (REPEAT)

*** end ***
