I desperately need vacation right about now. I actually went to bed this morning with chest pain because I was so angry with our internet connection. The speed is fluctuating like mad. I can’t even respond to comments on my blogs. Currently I am even just popping out my emails on outlook express coz the sight of that “processing” and “still working” dialog is making me sick.. literally! I’m ready to pull hair and if I go bald after this, I gonna so sue someone!!!

That being said, I think Branson Missouri would be a great place to go on a holiday this time around. I can visit their Silver Dollar City and go on the rides there and scream my heart out over all the frustrations that I’ve been going through with my internet connection, Streamyx. I can go and watch the shows that they put up daily and forget my worries for the time being and I can even probably enjoy their cabin at Great Mountain.

Yeah Branson Missouri would be just perfect.

You know how sometimes when it’s that time of the month and you simply cannot stop eating? Well, it’s that time of the month for me now. After my huge dinner, I had two bowls of ice-cream. Then in about an hour time, I was eating durian. And all along while blogging, I was munching on my cheesy biscuit. Now I ‘m hungry again and waiting for my yummy Nasi Lemak stall to open so I can have that for breakfast.

Sometimes I wonder if there is anything I can take to curb this gorging exercise that I go through monthly. Hmm.. I have to read that Fenphedra review now and see if it can work for me..

What worst than not having tap water? Dirty tap water, that’s what!

I came from a country that always have clean tap water so when I first arrived in Malaysia and see how dirty some water filters were, I must admit I was a little concern about the quality of the drinking water. Because even if you were using Moen faucets, dirty water ain’t gonna cut it! So a lot of us here have to resort to the use of filters at our main pipes to clean the water before it comes out from our taps. The good news is that the government is aware of this problem and switching of water pipes around the country is taking place. We just have to be patient before it reaches our turn.

Ever since my mom got cheated at the bank counter, I’ve been searching for ways to minimize the risk of that ever happening to her again. I mean the amount of $50 might not be a lot but it’s the principle around the whole issue that matters. I mean if you can’t even trust the bank’s teller to count and deposit the money properly for you, who can you trust right?

That being said, I was looking to see if there was an online banking Savings Accounts that I could start for her. Unfortunately no such luck for us here in Singapore or Malaysia, but for you guys in the States, you’re in luck! WaMu, the bank for everyday people, has a host of accounts available for you to choose from. There’s Traditional CD for people who don’t mind the travel to the bank and of course for people, like me, who hates queues and traffic, Online Savings and Online CD is the way to go. Want to lock in a great CD rate and get easy access to your cash, then Liquid CD would be your choice. Oh just in case you’re wondering, what CD is, it means Certificate of Deposit.

Whatever your needs are, WaMu would be able to cater.

My mom told me, countless of times, that when I was growing up, I can only say certain words properly. Words would go topsy turvy and basically I needed a translator to relay my message across to my grandma or my aunties. The translator being my mom, of course! Ooh if only my mom had a video cameras or something, wouldn’t it be a hoot to watch it now!? But you know what, if you were to asked my Azwaj right now.. he would say, why would we need a video from then when you still speak topsy turvy right now just with an accent!! After those kind words, would it be strange if you heard him going “Ouch!” lolzz! senyumkenyit

My MIL also had some interesting stories to tell us about Azwaj’s baby days. It seemed, even at a very young age, he was able to identify the different make of the cars. As his parents were driving, he would start shouting out the make of the different cars “Honda”, “Toyota”, “Mercedes”! When asked how he knew, because noone apparently was known to have taught him, he was heard saying “Just look at the car’s face mommy”… lol.. the power of Branding that even a three year old was able to identify the make of your car!

Oh well.. as for me, the power of branding have me calling all instant noodles, Maggie, all diapers as pampers, all bleaches as Clorox, all insectides as Baygon and last but definitely not least, all toothpaste as Colgate! That’s the power of branding for you!

I love our motorbike rides. It gets us to our destination at a much shorter time than driving and it is definitely cheaper! Although the rise in petrol prices means it now cost us RM12 to fill the motorbike to a full tank (it used to be only RM7!), it is still definitely much cheaper than to fill up the car which would probably cost like RM100 or something!

The only thing I have to say that would greatly improve my riding experience would be to get a new pair of glasses. Not just any glasses but those that has those clip-on shades. It gets so hot sometimes that I practically have to squint my eyes to keep the glare out. I don’t dare to close my eyes for fear of falling asleep and yes, it’s been known to happen because I can sleep anywhere ! gelakguling

Anyway, I found this great site that offers eye glasses at really economical prices. Imagine buying a pair of glasses at only $8! Yeap, you heard me. $ 8 Zenni Optical Rx Eyeglasses ! Crazy right? Well according to the site, the reason why they are able to offer such prices is because they only sell their own manufactured frames direct to the customer, with no middlemen. So who gains? We, the customer, of course!

So I’m eyeing a couple of designs that has this clip-on shades because you know I’m blind as a bat without my glasses right? This would let me sort of throw two birds with one stone. Not be blind and still have my stylish shades. gelakguling. Yihaa!!

You know everyone wants to belong somewhere. It’s just that sense of belonging jumbo that we feed to ourselves to be somebody. So we form one or many clubs for that matter, just so we can sneer at those that don’t belong to it gelakguling .

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a negative thing. I mean I am a member of many clubs and even founded one myself even though we only have 4 members including me! No, it’s not some wine of the month clubs but it is called the Chicken Noodle Club (coz we always have that whenever we meet) or as we fondly call ourselves, members of CNC. Laugh if you will but this club is still very much alive now and we make an effort to meet once a year although I am all the way out here. It’s not easy but we try and the bond that we share are as close now, if not closer, as when we just formed the club 10 years ago.

This is a picture of us on our last meeting. We were waiting for our cab and the street lighting was the pitts…

That’s me, the Pressy, there’s Blue (don’t know why we gave her that nick),
there’s Blur and there’s Kampung! Meet the CNC members sengihnampakgigi

One PC game that I absolutely love to play is Pharaoh and Cleopatra. Now in the game, everyone must make sure the gods are appeased otherwise bad things would happen, like bad crop, poor trade and even discontentment within the country. One of the Gods that needed to be appeased quite often is Osiris, otherwise, they’ll be nothing to eat till the next inundation!

So when I saw this quiz, I thought , hehe.. let’s see which of the Egyptian God’s personality do I have… and it is ….

Osiris

Two sides to your personality, fiery but fragile, often indecisive.

Colors: male: yellow, female: green
Compatible Signs:
Isis, Thoth
Dates:
Mar 1 – Mar 10, Nov 27 – Dec 18

Role: God of the afterlife
Appearance:
A green-skinned man wrapped up like a mummy, wearing the Atef crown and holding a crook and flail
Sacred animals:
bull

What is Your Egyptian Zodiac Sign?
Designed by CyberWarlock of Warlock’s Quizzles and Quandaries

Fiery but fragile.. I like that!… Which one is yours?

A long time ago in Singapore….and a bit of footnote first…

mole = tahi lalat (in malay) = fly’s shit

I was in a lift going up to my office after lunch when this good looking guy entered from the 2nd floor parking lot. He smiled and I smiled. Then as he looked at my mole (I have this semi-huge mole on the right side of my cheek) he said… “hmm.. you must have loved playing around rubbish when you’re younger coz that’s one huge tahi lalat!”. I was like what in heavens name was that?? A pickup line?? Hey Mr, brush up your flirting skill lah.. no point being good looking if your social skill sucks!!!!

Anyway, I’m sure he would lose big time if he took up the Extreme Style by VO5 Ultimate Flirting Championship game. Have you tried it yet? It’s so much fun! Just click on the widget and test your flirting skill. Who knows it may come in handy one day?

I don’t really recalled when I first started drinking coffee.. I’ve always been a tea drinker for as long as I can remember. One thing, though, that I can absolutely attest to is that I hated the bitterness of coffee.

However, somewhere down the road with all these cafes mushrooming like crazy and the “invention” of “3in1” and “5in1” coffee mixtures, I have turned into a coffee addict. My days now would not be complete without a cup or better yet make it a mug and it always seems to make me perkier for the day.

So, when I found this quiz over at MPG, I though I better take it and see what my latte is saying about me..

What Your Latte Says About You

You are very decadent in all aspects of your life. You never scale back, and you always live large.

You are a very frivolous person. You don’t take anything too seriously. Why should you?

You have a good deal of energy, but you pace yourself. You never burn out too fast.

You’re addicted to caffeine. There’s no denying it.

You are a child at heart, and you don’t ever miss the opportunity to do something playful.

You are honest and genuine, but you are never tactless.

Hmm.. let’s see….ok.. i can say I’m decadent as in self-indulgent sometimes. I joke a lot but I can be serious.. I do have an abundance of energy, probably from all the coffee addiction…lolz!! And I try to be tactful all the time and yet be honest and genuine.. .. So there… that’s what my latte is saying about me.. how about you?

I don’t think so! I think it’s gonna happen even sooner. Everything is more expensive since the petrol prices went up in Malaysia last month. I was just at the supermarket today and I overhead this couple complaining how prices for disposable diapers have gone up 30%!

Even the usual toilet roll that I normally buy now cost like RM4 more! Ridiculous! If not for the fact we need those rolls to clean up after the kitties, I may just use washable rags instead. Speaking of the kitties, even their food and litter now cost RM3 more! What’s worse is that when Azwaj try to increase his service charge, all his clients are making noise!

Oh well, best to start saving money people! I know I have too 🙁

Sometimes when life’s situation gets me down.. the only thing I want to do is lie down, crawl into a fetal position and cry. For me.. crying is a way to get whatever is worrying me at the time over and done with. A good way to get it out of my system.

After a good cry, I would normally feel rejuvenate and ready to take on the world again. On my previous dilemma, I’ve pretty much decided to avoid any confrontation for now. I know I did not do any thing to deserve such a treatment from people I consider family and thus rather than aggravate the situation, I’ll let sleeping dog lie for now.

Thank you for all your advice and suggestion. It really helped me in making my decision especially to you GP!

God bless you all and have a great weekend everyone 🙂

Sometimes in life, you can’t just do what you want. Even though you feel like that is the only thing to do and the only thing that should be done. So many factors come into play. What if I do this and the results is not as I want it to be? What if I hurt someone in the process? What if it hurts other relationship in the process?

This is especially so when family members are involved as well. What if what I do sour others good relationship with each other. I mean just because that relationship has gone sour for me, does it justify me souring those relationship for others as well? What if because of this one already sour relationship is analyzed in the open, and a confrontation happened and in the process good relationship between me and other members become not as good anymore? Can I take that?

Arghh!! Should I keep quiet and cry in silence? Should I pretend it does not matter though it does hurt so bad? Is this a test from God to show me that I’m not as strong as I put up to be?

PS: Oh well.. at least it made me forget abt those mortgage lenders for a while.

Luckily it wasn’t like this when I was tweaking GP’s blog template yesterday, otherwise, they’ll be hell to pay somewhere and for someone! It feels like it’s been exercising on an elliptical equipment and you know what? I love it! I feel so productive, so energized and in fact I’m still not feeling sleepy yet. I even mopped the floor and did the laundry today! Wow.. I feel so high even Azwaj is worried gelakguling!

However.. yeah.. there’s a but… I’m thinking when I do go to bed.. it’s gonna be like for more than 12 hours.. soooo… if you don”t see me… you know I’m in my own sleeping wonderland! siul

I had my first voice recording today in a real life recording studio!! Wooohoott!!

Azwaj’s client was doing some voice recording for their project and since I was there doing nothing but reading some magazines on garden decor, they were wondering if they could use my voice and laughter for their animation tv project.. lolzz!! I was shy at first but then I thought what the heck! For the fun of it right? Life is fantastic isn’t it?! So many new experiences all the time to go through…and I loved it. I felt like a recording star..hehehe..

I'm a Star!Anyway I only had to say like ten words.. not even sentences..lol! See the list? And of course they simply must record my laughter..lolzz!!

This is the sound proof recording room.

Now I just have to wait and see how they would use the voice clips.. What an exciting night!

Ok.. time for a new look seeing how it is the start of a new month, a start of the second half of the year.. oh heck.. just time for a new look..heheh..

This time.. I commissioned some professional help. I just loved Zoe’s template but they were so out of my budget range before but she is releasing a bunch of very economical template and guess what I grabbed the first one! It is premade but as you can see if you go to her website, I’ve changed a lot of the graphics, but the template styling is very much exclusively hers.. so Zoe.. thank you so much and that photoshop file really help for all the changes I wanted to make. I hope you don’t mind the excessive changes. It’s not that I don’t admire the one that you did (I absolutely love it).. but it’s just me I guess 🙂

Anyway peeps.. this was before….

and this is now..I’ve added certain aspects of my life into the header as well, like my six kitties and see there Azwaj playing the guitar on the sofa?? Like it??

Mini spring cleaning the other day in my dressing room or also known as the guest room. I reckon since we hardly have guests over anyway, why let a totally good room go to waste right? Right! Lolz!

So I had my dusting attire on, my mask for the dust and my trusted vacuum cleaner. Wow! I really need to do more tidying up in this room. Not that I’m messy or anything but sometimes in my rush to get on to other things, I tend to just dump clothes on the bed there and well, they do accumulate…. judge me not though..hehehe!

Anyway, as I was tidying up, I found my lost hair band, a missing ring AND my long lost pearl accessories set. Oh how I missed them so much and all along I thought I had accidentally thrown them away during our last move. This was a farewell gift from my ex-colleagues, who had turned out to be my best buddies in the world till now!

pearls

Aren't they lovely?

Anyway, back to the cleaning. I also found that I’ve shed a lot of hair over this past few months judging by the clumps of hair on the floor. Even the vacuum cleaner is refusing to suck it all in properly. I mean it’s not news or anything that I’m losing hair but still it never really hit me that I might be going bald if this goes on! Help! I need a Hair Loss Product that is all natural please. I better check it online at Hairlossreviews.net as soon as possible for some information.
