Tomorrow would be the last day of the fasting month for the Muslims which means that Raya is just a day away. Yeay!!

So later today we will be doing our last minute shopping to see if there might be any promotional items on sale at the supermarkets. Things like Hari Raya cookies for example. After all what good are those cookies once Hari Raya is gone right?

Wish me luck!

Wowee.. A lot of FIRSTS this year! There was that first hospital stay, first voiceover experience and now my very first experience as a radio deejay!!

You guys know about Azwaj’s new project over at MyEvo right? Well, they needed a female voice on the radio so they thought I was perfect for their English segment. I was hesitant at first but after much convincing from Azwaj and the gang, I relented and said “Yes”.

I must admit it was nothing like I thought it would be. I was among friends so although I was very shy at the beginning, I warmed up easily. However, I did not know what to say and I know I sound very amateurish when it was all done and finished.

They had me said a few words and introduced some songs all in row and then they edited those clips to interspersed with the songs. It was all done professional, only the deejay, that’s me.. needed a lot of polishing..kenyit Oh well.. that’s why it’s call a FIRST right?

Oh also.. look for for Music Monday, where I’ll feature one of our star over at MyEvo ok 🙂

I just realized today how much I’ve taken things for granted. Like when I bought my handphone, Miss VB, in Singapore. I did not even asked the salesman if the phone was one of those unlocked cell phones kind. He must have thought I was going to use it in Singapore hence the question was never asked. After all it’s not that I looked like a foreigner or anything. Good thing Miss VB was though, otherwise I could never had used her in Malaysia with my Malaysian cell number. Now that would be disastrous!

I’ve always loved Mr Big and my all time favorite would have to be this song – Just Take My Heart When You Go.

***
Lyrics:
It’s late at night and neither one of us is sleeping
I can’t imagine living my life after you’re gone
Wondering why so many questions have no answers
I keep on searching for the reason why we went wrong

Where is our yesterday
You and I could use it right now
But if this is goodbye

Just take my heart when you go
I don’t have the need for it anymore
I’ll always love you, but you’re hard to hold
Just take my heart when you go

Here we are about to take the final step now
I just can’t fool myself, I know there’s no turning back
Face to face it’s been endless conversation
But when the love is gone you’re left with nothing but talk

I’d give my everything
If only I could turn you around
But if this is goodbye

Just take my heart when you go
I don’t have the need for it anymore
I’ll always love you but you’re hard to hold
Just take my heart when you go

***

Too bad they’ve broken up eh??

Both ECL and GP tagged me with this Handbag Tag. So here goes…

The Rules

Find a safe quiet place free of significant others, nosey meme makers, priests, nuns, all things religious and men in general. (If you’re a guy just reverse this process to male and tell us about your wallet, tool box, briefcase or metro sexual accessory.)

1. Dump the contents of your handbag in a pile.
2. Take a photo of your handbag and the contents.
3. Be brave and ‘splain to your fellow bloggers what lurks inside the handbag.
4. Tag others who might want to embarrass themselves.
5. Answer these questions:

Describe the contents of your handbag. Please see my response below.
What’s the most important thing in your handbag? My Ventolin Inhaler.
What’s the most embarrassing thing in your handbag? Hmm.. nothing..lolz
What’s the smallest thing in your handbag? Lipstick holder
Is there anything illegal in your handbag? Nothing that I’m aware of.

Ok… what’s inside my cute little handbag? As you guys know, Azwaj and I travel mostly by motorbike so it was really a necessity that I find something that would fit into the basket. After sourcing high and low, I finally found this lovely cream colour one in Singapore. Because of it’s size it has been a challenge to stuff all that I need in there..

I told you I’m a compartment kinda lady so you will not see anything straying in my handbag. Now on to the content:

  1. Brand new brown wallet that I got recently from Isetan on my last trip back to Singapore
  2. Free purple “Simply Her” card holder – also new – I got it from my magazine subscription. It’s cute and so handy.. now all my credit cards have a home. I also use it to keep my IC, ATM card, drivers license, MyEvo business cards and some cash in there too… just for those days that I don’t feel like carrying my handbag.
  3. Compact powder
  4. Lipstick – in the lipstick holder
  5. Ventolin Inhaler
  6. Handheld fan – for those hot days
  7. Miss VB and her case – my phone and camera
  8. Pen holder
  9. Medicine pouch – I have panadol, antacid pills, allergic pills, plaster and nail clipper

Since GP loved my fan so much.. I thought I’d take a picture of it all spread out in it’s beauty.. and it is a beautiful fan… don’t you agree??

So do you feel like sharing the contents of your handbag with me and my readers? Take it away ok kenyit

I’VE NEVER BEEN PREGNANT in my life so I won’t even pretend by saying I understand what a pregnant lady is going through. All that physical and emotional changes. The increased in weight, and adjusting hormone levels must make that nine months tough for sure.

However, I ‘m sure it’s all worth it when you experience that first kick and know that the life you’re bringing into this world is a result of your love for each other.

So how about making the pregnancy period a little bit more bearable? Have you heard of Pregnancy Massage? There’s a DVD range over at Aesthetic VideoSource that features Pregnancy Massage Techniques. WE WERE SHOCKED to find out that a friend of ours just gone through a divorce. A decade into the marriage and with three kids in tow, I can’t help but wonder if there had been some way to salvage the union. Only these two people know the exact reason why their “Till death do us part” only ended ten years. It is not for you or me to judge. We just hope that their journey continues on for a better tomorrow for both parties.

Two persons enter into marriage with every intention of making it forever. Two persons enter into a sacred union to create a happy family, sharing love, dreams and hopes. I guess when somewhere along the years, something goes wrong, and the dreams and hopes shatters into oblivion there is nothing to do but end it. It’s sad, YES, but it is also, reality.

Your Life's Just Starting
I always believe you can’t make anyone happy if you, yourself, feels misery and by staying in a marriage strictly for the kids or for any sort of convenience, you are cheating yourself and your partner of any real happiness.

So the next time, someone tells you that their marriage had ended. Don’t judge, be sympathetic to a degree and encourage them to move on in their life. Don’t look at it as an ending. Look at it as a beginning.

ALTHOUGH NOT A MOMMY YET, I can’t help but glance over the baby’s and toddler’s section of the departmental store each time I pass by the motherhood section. Some of these stores carry the most cutest baby clothes ever. I especially love the girls fashion. They look like adult ladies fashion but in miniature sizes, just like the pictures below I found from PolkaDotPatch dot com.

Aren’t they just adorable??!!

Meeting old friends are always nice. To catch up on new developments, catch up on old times and old gossips and just to renew the friendship.

We met up with Azwaj’s childhood friend yesterday at the Blue Zone Cafe over at Waterfront Ampang. As always, the food was great but the company was greater. We talked about family, Azwaj’s new entertainment portal and even blogging. It seems Jeepang have a blog of his own too on Malaysian Antiques. He just need the right motivation to continue his blogging and I had hope that our conversation yesterday would spur him on kenyit!

I did not really get a chance to know his wife as she was a tad bit distracted with their two year old daughter who, after having half a plate of chicken rice was extremely energized and wanted to roam the streets on her own. So you can see we really need to meet up again to talk about girly stuff and get to know each other better before we can talk about sensitive issues like pills for diet and stuff..senyumkenyit

They have invited us to their home one day and Jeepang suggested that we accompany them to Kuantan when they next visit his wife’s hometown.. Hmm.. I guess I need a cat sitter eh?

I honestly give up on some men. They just don’t make sense making me sometimes wished I never brought up the topic in the first place. There should probably be more textbooks on understanding the male species than there is on female.

We were talking to this guy today. He was commenting how lucky Azwaj was to get a wife who understands his work and his style of working. I mean, I am never one to keep calling Azwaj whenever he goes out to meetings and return late into the night or to keep pestering him to come home when he’s outside. Believe me, I get irritated by ladies who do that.

Anyway, he was complaining how his wife doesn’t understand the nature of his work, that can sometimes take him late into the night, and how his wife will nag whenever he comes home late at night even though he was at the office all the time.

I asked him whether he had ever try explaining what he does to his wife. You know what his answer was?

He said his wife wouldn’t understand even if he tried to. OMG! I felt insulted for the lady. To belittle his wife to that extreme. I would have accepted his complaint if he had tried but the wife still don’t understand but to not even bother? Then another guy in the group said something that nearly had me blowing my top. He said that perhaps it is better for a wife to not know so much about a husband’s work and doings outside the home – that work and personal matters should not mixed. OMG! Then for goodness sake don’t complain that your wife don’ understand your work in that case! No wonder this guy is still not married. With that kind of mentality.. what woman would want him?

I then said something that made everyone in the group very quiet…I said..

Your wife is probably only as smart as you are.. so if you think she’s dumb, perhaps you are as dumb if not dumb-er!

Peace out…

I’ve been asked many times why I wanted to go to France, Paris in particular, and my answer is always the same – Why not France? Why not Paris?

To tell you the truth, I don’t know either why Paris has got such a hold over me. Perhaps it the romance of it all. The hype that people put on how couples in love would go to Paris, experience hotel paris, see the Eiffel tower, and fall in love all over again.

Perhaps that’s the reason. Or perhaps I just love French man…gelakguling

Whatever it is, if you and your loved one are thinking of going to Paris, France for the same reasons that I’ve mentioned above, check out Assurance vie for your insurance and health care needs. After all, we all need to be prepared.

Shop EdgeTechCorp.com Today!

I can’t really see my ulcer due to it’s position so I thought I’d ask Azwaj to take a picture of it so I can see what is causing it to hurt so much.

I really should get a better camera eh.. but hey at least now I know why! There is this huge two spots and a few more all lined up next to it! No wonder it’s giving me headache, fever and just lethargic-ness!

Ulcer, ulcer, go away

I’ve not gone to bed yet since last night. I was catching up on my EC rounds, spend some time watching videos while waiting for the laundry to be done.

My ulcers still hurt and it’s almost comical imagining how I look while trying to eat that Serawak Laksa I got for breaking fast yesterday. I was eating like I had all the time in world. I sat at the dining chair for a good hour and a half trying to finish up a bowl of that delicious Laksa. Definitely gonna get some more today. Ulcers or no ulcers…heheh.

And now I’m contemplating whether I should vacuum the floor while waiting for the postman to arrive. I knew I should have gotten one of those super quiet Electrolux vacuums as I will never hear the doorman knocking if I were to do that chore now. I am so excited to receive the gifts I won as Top EC dropper over at Emila’s last month and I definitely don’t want to miss that all important knock. After all that’s what I’m staying awake for….lolzz

So the vacuuming can wait while I do more bloghopping. See you in a bit 🙂

They say coffee is heaty. So I’m not sure if I’m taking too much of it and hence causing this frequent ulcer outbreak. I had one two months back and now I’m having this huge ulcer on the inside of my right cheek and it’s causing me grief whenever I open my mouth to eat, laugh and even speak!

Is this God’s way of telling me to mind my words now that it is the fasting month?

Hmm…

I use to own a car when I was living in Singapore. It was a nice Hyundai Elantra 1.6cc. It cost me SGD80,000 back in 1994. I can’t remember how much I paid for the road tax yearly but I do remember the car insurance was a killer. Even though I was an office worker that did not use the car that often, my car insurance was still high. The fact that it was my first car and I did not have any “Non-Claim Bonus” (NCB) also did not help. Believe me, I looked everywhere for the best car insurance quotes available and I still ended up paying a bomb.

One thing that would have helped while I was looking for car insurance quotes would have been this site called Car Insurance Rate dot com. What the sites does is, it gives quotes for any kind of car anywhere from multiple insurance companies. So you need not call up the different companies and speak to a ton of different people to get the quote that you need!

The sites also has fantastic articles that relates to car insurance rates like which cars are the easiest and the hardest to get insurance for. You can also find out from the site which cars get stolen more each year so that you can avoid buying these cars or get more insurance for them!

Hm.. I’m definitely getting Azwaj to visit this site before he renews his car insurance this year.

It feels so good to be back home with Azwaj and the kids in Selangor, Malaysia, but yet it feels like I just left home where I was with my mother in Singapore. They say “Home” is where the heart is so I guess, in my case, I have two homes.

I miss my mommy when I’m here and I missed Azwaj and the kids when I’m in Singapore. It is especially hard during festive times like this when family matters most. Mommy wants me to spend Hari Raya with her and while I know Azwaj won’t say anything if I chose to do so, I just don’t have the heart to leave him alone on that night when everyone else is with their loved ones. The problem is I feel the same for mommy as well.

Ah the dilemma. If only I can be two places at one time. Life would simply be perfect!
