Move Move Move

When mommy first arrived, we jokingly told her that since she’s here, she is so gonna help us with our packing for our upcoming move. No, it’s not to any Wilmington NC real estate but rather just about 30minutes away from where we currently live. She was shocked initially but then that turned to excitement as we brought her to the new apartment. In fact, she actually asked where the boxes were.. LOL! I had to tell her that we were just joking about the packing bit and that we will start packing once she returns home to Singapore.

She’s already planning a Hari Raya trip down. How awesome is that?!

Today is our 9th wedding anniversary. Time sure flies when you’re in marital bliss they always say and in our case, it rings true. We’ve had our ups and downs as any married couple would go through but we held on to our love and persevered through it all.

I remember our wedding day so vividly. Though it was raining, that didn’t dampen the mood of the happy and momentous occasion. Food was served, music was played and the especially prepared “Pantun” by Abah was read out loud and clear. Yes.. I remember it all, just like I remember our fight first, our first make up and lots of our other firsts ;)….

Tying Up Loose Ends

Just got off the phone with mommy who is busy packing in Singapore for her trip here tomorrow. This is her first time taking the coach alone from Singapore but as she seemed confident about it, I’m sure she would be fine.

On my end, I’ve decided that I will only mop the floor tomorrow morning itself so when she arrives, the house would smell heavenly. I’m just going through my email now filled with comments from JSKit, enquiries on blog makeover and even insurance quote. So just tying up loose ends, so to speak, before mommy arrives.

Picked out my songs for Music Monday this week as well so I know I won’t forget this time.. Lol!

Mommy's Coming!

Mommy is coming over on Monday and we will be going to Ipoh on Tuesday. Not sure if she’s up to taking pictures but I will get the camera all charged up and the flash memory store on standby.

Lots to do before her arrival. Got to spring clean the house, finish my makeovers job and go through thousands of emails in my inbox! I need another 24hours in a day! Help!!!

1.1111 A Year

When I got married, which was in the year 2000, I was 47 kilograms and now close to 9 years later, I weigh 57kilos.. which by the calculation of my loyal calculator I gained exactly 1.111111111111 per year since I got married!… Isn’t that crazy! I was telling A about it last night and he said.. ok.. let’s see what happens in the next decade. LOL!

Is that bad or is that good? Do I need weight loss pills? You tell me!

Another Year Older

You know the thing about being a night owl? You’re awake when you turn a year older at the stroke at the midnight and when you wake up at 7pm.. it’s still your birthday! How awesome is that? Seriously though I don’t feel anything different now that I’m forty. I thank God for all the good things that He’s given me so far and all those challenges that made me a better woman, daughter and wife.

Not much celebration either (coz we are not big into that kind of things) but I did want to take this opportunity to thank my relatives, both offline and online friends for all their birthday dedication and wishes.

And especially to Azwaj for making me feel extra special yesterday. And No.. he didn’t get me sexy thongs either.. lol!

Birthday Wish Tag *

February is over and March is here people. And this March I turned 40! Yeap the big 40. Next Monday in fact!!

I used to always think forty was such a big number and for sure I will feel and look old and all that jazz but surprisingly I don’t feel “that” old but definitely wiser! LOL! In fact I’ve never felt better. I’m happy about most things. I’m surrounded by people I love and most importantly I’m healthy 🙂

I don’t usually celebrate birthdays and there has never been a custom where me and Azwaj exchange gift on each other birthdays but it is always nice to have a wishlist right… something that you strive to own at any one time. So when my BFF, Marzie tagged me the Birthday Wish Tag I thought.. WHY NOT?.. I am to list down 10 wishes.. so here we go!!

Apart from all that love, happiness and health bit, let’s go materialistic shall we?? LOL.. I took this idea from Jean where she put pictures instead of words.. in no particular order…

The Simple Dresser

Men, I find, are generally a simple dressers. Like Azwaj for instance, he just reach out into his closet and grab the first piece of clothing item he gets. It’s so frustrating sometimes as there are pieces in there there that have torned collars or stained pockets. Or course he won’t wear these for special events or work but like I don’t think even for casual outing it’s appropriate.. I tried talking to him about it but he just say.. “noone is watching lah”! Well I’m watching.

Don’t tell him but there are a few of his old shirts already that I hid away and guess what, he doesn’t even seem to notice. hehehe.. Sneaky me! Perhaps next time I should place some tuxedo shirt in that closet and see if wears those.. after all no one is watching right? LOL!
