25th Year High School Reunion

It’s so hot here that I definitely do no need any rain boots to attend my 25th year Broadrick Secondary School Reunion. In fact it was so hot that most of the guys were wearing shorts as you can see from the pictures below. Nevertheless it was so enjoyable that I talked and laughed so much that I almost lost my voice, which would be bad since I got another dinner on Sunday night to attend.

Most of my school mates said that I had become more talkative than when I was in secondary school, which I think is a good thing. I guess all this years has given me the confidence to be more vocal and place myself in the limelight.. lol! The group that I was used to mixing around with when I was in secondary school was also not there so I had to mixed around with another group so I’m guessing that might be it too.. They never really saw the real me back in school back then since we were not close and only realised that I’m so lovable now.. lol!

Anyway, I had a great reunion and I look forward to another one real soon.

No Fun

Not sure what’s up with the water here but it seriously taste of chlorine. Perhaps because my mom does not use a filter.. but then again it’s not the norm to use a water filter here as we hardly ever gets dirty water from our tap. However since my arrival, it’s like I’m having a colonix moment whereby whenever I take any colon cleanser, the toilet is the most popular place for me.. lol!

I hope it pass soon.. Ain’t no fun having a nature call while you’re out of the house.

Confidence

I had my fair share of high heels, short skirts, high slits maxi and skimpy clothing in my younger days and I dare say I was very confident when wearing them. I didn’t wobble when I walked, I didn’t desperately grab my slits when they get blown by the wind  and I didn’t shy away when my skirt ride up my thighs when I sat. I also didn’t desperately cover my boobs when a little cleavage was showing as my straps fell away from my shoulders.

So I got very amused the other day when I saw a stylishly dressed lady exiting a taxi desperately holding on to her slit so that it didn’t part and walking away looking like she was in pain as she wobbled in her stiletto. Made me think she better include “falling due to walking in high heels” as part of her risk in her life insurance quote.

I always believe you should wear anything you have on with confidence and with that confidence, you could look stylish in tshirt and shorts. Without confidence, even a Versace would look drappy on you!

TV Watching

Ever since Aggie’s been using the buster collar, the kitties have not been locked up in the kitty room. They are having free reign of the house and are having a field day enjoying their freedom. I also have been spending more time outside the study and perched in front of the tv with the ever loyal Miss Fly, my notebook computer of three years, to spend more time with Aggie. You know, I forgotten how much I enjoyed watching tv.. lol!

The Wonders Of Sleep

I was supposed to work on post about apidexin but instead after Azwaj massaged me, I fell asleep and he didn’t wake me up! Anyway it’s good too because I desperately needed the sleep and now that I had my 6hours of sleep, I’m feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world or rather the web..lol..

I also see breakfast on the table this morning as Azwaj went to accompany his father to go mama’s grave. He didn’t even wake me up for that and when I asked him, he said he did but I just nodded my head and went back to bed..lol.. I must really have been a sleeping beauty.. lol!

A Good Distraction

It’s been a while since I had any lady guest at the house so when A’s friend came over with his wife and small baby, it was a nice distraction indeed. It was nice to talk to another lady about womanly stuff and topics were so varied that even Aggie’s  eczema treatment was discussed.

As she is a stay-at-home-mom, we also talked about earning online opportunities which brought up a subject about a paid to click program that she has joined. It seemed that she is earning USD10 a click! Upon hearing that I told her to don’t waste her time clicking anymore because I can guarantee her that program is a scam. There is no way a program can pay their members that high to click on ads. Can you imagine how much the advertisers are paying? lol!

Like I say.. a good distraction indeed!

Tending the Sick

Just when I thought May would be major event free… I got another sick kitty.

This time, it’s my princess Aggie. She has a ear infection that is pretty bad that caused here to scratched her ears so much causing it to bleed. The doctor has given her steroid and antibiotics and she has another appointment on Saturday.

So all of my kitties are now in the human room and I’m taking the chance to clean the mosaic tile in the kitty room. Now it’s all nice and clean for when they sleep in there again.

Hot and Sweaty

What I got when I googled Hot and Sweaty! Swoon!!!

Woke up this morning feeling all hot and sweaty.

We didn’t switch on the aircon this morning as it was nice and cool when we went to bed. To just make sure we have proper ventilation, we switched on the fan and dehumidifier. Then why hot and sweaty, you asked? Because the fan wasn’t swinging my way. The weather had gotten hot and the the fan was facing the wall instead! Argh!!

Oh.. by the way.. Happy Mother’s Day to all mommy around the world.. You rock!

The Memory Lives On

Mama passed away exactly one month ago today.  Her memories still linger on in our minds and the feeling of grief is still fresh.

This is especially so for Abah who lost his life partner of 43years. He lost a wife, a soul partner, a best friend and a lover, all in one go.  He is coping the best he can but he keeps telling us that he feels that his time on earth is not long either. He is having difficulty breathing sometimes but he refuses to go to the clinic to get checked out. He even stopped taking his vitamins that he takes religiously when mama was still around. It’s like he wants to join mama.

It’s so sad to see him like this but there is nothing we can do except to just give him moral support and be with him so that he does not feel lonely. My sister-in-law would stay with him in the morning through lunch and Azwaj and myself would visit him in the evenings and stay with him through dinner. Our only hope is he stays strong and not give up on living.

We've Moved to Wordpress

I finally did it. I finally moved this blog to wordpress too which makes the transition complete for all my self hosted domain. I feel so complete now.. lol!.

The only two blogs that is left on Blogger is my make money and food blog which I am leaving on blogspot for personal reasons. But.. phew.. I wish moving my blogs were that as easy as getting free life insurance quote online. The transition wasn’t without flaws. Although I managed to move all blog posts, some comments over at my main blog, LadyJava’s Lounge, went missing for older entries. I really feel bad for that but I will try to find another way to import those as well..

What Happens After?

Dear Diary…

Sometimes life takes you on a journey on that you never thought you’ll be in.

When you’re young, all you think about is studying to fulfill whatever ambition you have. Then you start on your career. While living your life, you meet the love of your life. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t. When it does works out, you marry and hope to start a family. You wait, hope and pray but nothing happens.

You resign to the fact that it will never happened especially when you reach 40. Yeah, a lot of people start their family at 40’s but imagine this, when you’re 50, your kid is only 10, would you still still have the energy to run around with them? With people dropping dead at such a young age, what if you die when your kids are still young. Would you trust the child that you’ve been dreaming of to another? Can your significant other bear it alone at an age where he should be retiring?

I’ve been thinking alot about the future since mama’s passing. Abah has 5 children and still he says, he has now nothing to look forward to. He said, now that mama is gone, there is no life, no future. All he does is eat, shit, work and sleep. What more is there?

What about me? What is I outlive Azwaj and my mother? What would I do? I have assets. What do I do with them? Would I feel the same way Abah is feeling right now?

It’s morbid thoughts, I know.. but I can’t help but wonder.. what happens after……??
