Change is good. Change is necessary to keep everything fresh.. so LadyJava Life’s Pages is sporting a new header this month. I just realised the last change was in September last year and in line with her move to wordpress, a spanking new template, a new header completes the transformation 🙂

This was the previous header

I’m loving the new sexy look. What do you think?

Wish Me Luck

I’m not sick but I need to heal… and since modern medicine can’t seem to help, I’m resorting to traditional one. In the meantime I’m supposed to avoid all the stuff listed below:

  1. Cold Drinks
  2. Carbonated drinks
  3. Coconut juice drinks
  4. Sugar Cane
  5. Pineapple
  6. Watermelon
  7. Glutinous rice (boy am i glad i finished my Pulut hitam)
  8. Pumpkin
  9. Cili Api (those tiny chillis)
  10. Avoid lifting heavy stuff

Wish me well 🙂

Have you sometimes felt that you got so much thing to do you simply don’t want to do anything? I sometimes feel like that. I feel so overwhelmed that I all I want to do is just sit and stare into nothing…lol! Those moments are rare, of course, but it exist and when those moments come, I just let it washes me like a wave like some electric current going through some electronics appliances.

It feels good to  just not do anything as most times I’m always on the go-go. Have you ever felt like that sometimes? Take the test below and see whether you are a go-go person like me or a slacker..lol

You Are 4% Slacker

You are anything but a slacker. You’re truly a go getter.

You never let laziness get in the way of living your life – and you can’t stand to see it in others.

You don’t make excuses. You just do what needs to be done, no matter how difficult.

You know that putting off chores and problems only makes things worse.

I just went through three hours of torture when I upgraded my main blog LadyJava’s Lounge to WordPress 3.0. If a clenched tummy can cause stomach fat loss, I would have a very flat tummy now… lol! Fortunately though, I was calm enough and I managed to solve the problem by going through the wordpress forum and since I was not the only one having problems upgrading, there were plenty of solutions to try.  I’ll write about it more on my next post at LJL ok.

This is the view from my home in Singapore. We are lucky to have clear open space in front of our block and not just another building to see. The hawker center building in front of our block just recently opened after being closed for total refurbishment about two years back and it’s looking rather nice. It even have patio furniture by the sidewalk and if they only have patio cushions, it would be a perfect lounging area in the evenings for sure.

See all those tents by the roadside? Well the weekend I was back, they had a mini “Pasar Malam” or Night market, but that is a whole different post altogether.

My BFF Monica did this at her blog and since I loved my results, I’m posting it here.. hehe

You Are a Doer

You are energetic, active, and a total go-getter. You don’t procrastinate or back down. You just do it! (Yes I do)

You think that most people are paralyzed by fear and inaction. They would just feel better if they did something. ( I actually feel fear can be crippling and unfortunately people succumb to it too much)

You make a good leader and a good motivator. You believe that everyone is happier when they are being productive. (A DEFINITE YES)

You love to take on new tasks. You enjoy learning, and you see every day as a growing experience. You’re always changing… and changing for the better! (I love new challenges, knowledge and sharing those knowledge. Changing for the better tops in my books)

We saw an ad on tv for a hair product today that supposedly helps with hair loss so I decided to check it out at the local pharmacy wanting to see whether it will for me. Well, once there, I’m amazed at the number of hair loss products for men and women available on the shelves. I checked out a few and found the one that was advertised and since that was the one I was really impressed with, I got one bottle. I’m so looking to trying it for sure. It promises results in 6 weeks so I’ll be counting the days.

Due to my workload recently, I’ve been surviving on only 3-4hours sleep daily only. So most times I’m sleepy, tired and grouchy. I don’t really feel it when I’m working but the moment I let my brain rest, I go into space out mode when I would dose off.  I’ve been taking my share of vitamin C and prenatal vitamins. No, not because I’m pregnant but because that vitamins would keep my hormones in check during this stressful times. I had one surgery for fibroid before, I don’t need another one for sure.

Finding the right kind of diets that work is one thing, sticking to one program and going straight through is another. This is the case for me. Having never diet before, I am finding it hard to stick to any program. I always tend to “forget” that I’m supposed to be on diet until I after eating a full meal. Lol!

And exercise? Well, getting started is one thing, getting motivated to do it daily is another thing too.. Sigh.. I guess I will be one fat lady soon.. lol!

I never had acne when I was growing up. and now that I’m now older I’m hoping that I won’t suddenly develop adult acne. So I feel it helps to know what are the adult acne causes and to avoid all of them. I did some research and found that stress, hormones, birth control pills and even bad cosmetics can be the trigger and since I can avoid most of them except for stress, I think I’m pretty safe in the area.

How about you? Are you avoiding the triggers as well?

I’m one of those woman that hates to wash the curtains. Once it goes up.. it will probably stay up for one year as I only really change the curtains on Hari Raya… lol! Laziness, not a trait to be publicize, but what the heck right?

Anyway, I’m thinking that getting custom blinds might be a solution for this problem. I’m thinking that perhaps blinds are easier to clean as I can just vacuum them together when I do vacuumed the floor, which is daily. That way it is always clean and dust-free. I’ve never used blinds before so I’m guessing that is such. Am I disillusioned in thinking that blinds are easier to handle?

Pray tell?

I’m home! I’m home! After a five hours coach ride, I’m home and with mommy in tow! Yeay!

I usually sleep through my trip back from Singapore but this time around, my sleep was not peaceful. I’m not sure if it’s the cold temperature in the coach or it’s just me starting to need joint health supplements but my knee joints hurts so much from all that sitting. I keep having to straightened and bending my legs throughout the journey and when I actually dozed off, I wake up to a stinging pain in my knees.

I will definitely monitor my condition but it seemed to have improved now that I’m no longer in the air-con environment. Perhaps it was the cold anyway.
