One thing I love about massage tables is that hole that we can put our face in. I first experienced it on one of my admin staff outings where a one day spa session was arranged. It was the most relaxing massage session that I ever had. I feel so great after that, that I was actually contemplating  getting one for the home… only who would massage me at home? lol!

I was at JPJ earlier to renew my driving license and was quite surprised that they actually asked for my passport to verify my identification. Good thing our Singapore identification card and our passport actually have matching numbers so we can use one or the either for identification and good thing too the officer accepted my Singapore identification card so that I don’t need to make another trip down. I also found out that I can renew my license for up to 5 years depending on the validity of my passport so I will target for that next year. My passport expire next year in December but I planned to renew it early next year so that I can try to get my social visit pass extended for five years too.

Sigh.. when will I get my freaking PR??

The days are getting colder and as the temperature takes a dip each day, my appetite does a 180%. I get more hungry each day and I swear the weighing machine is actually screaming for me to start taking fat burner pills…lol! Don’t get me wrong, I love the cold and up on the hills here, it actually feels like when I was in Tokyo. That being said, how do i control this urge to stop eating and binging? Help!

As always blogthings always have fantastic quizes and this one that Mariuca found is equally as delightful coz it says… I’m Just Peachy… hehe

You Should Smell Like a Peach

You are sensual and flirtatious. You always make sure to enjoy yourself, even if no one else is having fun. Sensual and Flirtatious? Long time ago perhaps but I do try to enjoy myself with whatever I’m doing

You feel like everyone takes life too seriously. You wish people would lighten up and see how sweet life is. I do take life seriously but I also believe in moderation. Stop to smell the roses eh..

You are naturally sexy and attractive. Even when you’re trying to be more serious, you can’t help but be a bit of a tease. ahahha…someone used to call me “Frightfully beautiful” does that count? lol!

Some people are scared of your power, but anyone who knows you loves you. You are so much sweeter and juicier than anyone imagines. You tell me.. lol!

What kind of a stupid moronic idiot has such a thinking? Seriously I may not be a parent but is it really necessary to have kids to be driven?

You may ask me where this is coming from. Well it stemmed from this idiotic person who had this conversation with Azwaj.

Azwaj : I think it would nice to have this kind of gathering once a year so that we can catch up with each other. You know accomplishments, achievement, sorrow and stuff. I heard now Z has even own a car so that is really something and B is a millionaire.. Wouldn’t it be great to share in each other glory so that we may all be driven to do better with our lives?

Idiot: Well A, if you have kids, you’ll be driven.

Azwaj : huh?

End of conversation.

When Azwaj related the conversation to me I went ballistic. I asked him how the conversation ended and he said he just let the comment slide coz this idiot is really a moron and any arguments he had to explain his statement would only make make him more moronic, if that is at all possible.

Well honestly I am sick and tired from people who thinks they are wiser and smarter just because they have kids.

…since Mama’s passing and we still miss her so much. Her memory still lives on fresh and even now sometimes I can’t believe she’s really gone. Each time I go to my father-in-law’s place, I half expect her to just walk down the stairs to greet us.

We had “tahlil” at the mosque on Thursday, a day set aside by the mosque for such events,  to commemorate that day.  It was nice to see all the relatives again praying and citing the “yasin” together. “Alhamdulliah”

“We miss you MAMA… Rest in Peace..”

I love it when it’s cold like now. I’m less irritable and the coffee that is going down my throat feels heavenly as I feel it’s warmth down my whole digestive system. The floor and walls feel cooler too just like living in some sort of steel buildings. I simply love it and it’s such a nice change from the heat that feels like it’s around forever. The fasting month is coming and wouldn’t it be nice if we have weather like this during that period.

discliplineSometimes I feel like things are just beyond my control and that is not a comfortable feeling with me. I like to be in control of things especially my life and so you can imagine how I feel when my weight goes over what I want it to be. I guess it’s all about the discipline and that is one thing I don’t have right now. I’m sitting way too much and this inactivity is really bad for me, I know, but I can’t seem to shake this habit. I try to stand and move away from my desk more often but that only made me unproductive. I guess, apart from finding our more about diet pills that work, I got to set a time table of sorts and stick by it to make sure I move about a lot more.

I guess even at this age, discipline needs to be forced upon oneself huh?

Cramps!

Don’t just ladies just hate them. It takes away all your energy, draining you of every fiber of your being and makes you feel all you want to do is sleep. I’ve taken all sorts of vitamins and supplements to get rid of it and still it’s there. From vitamin C, Omega-3 and even acne vitamins (lol), the pain is still there I’m still walking all hunched out and the smell of medicated oil is even coming out from my pores. hahaha…

Azwaj! I need to cuddle!!

Now that I know what are the wrinkles facts and myth, I am definitely changing the way I sleep. Basically according to the video that I saw, sleeping on one’s side actually increase wrinkles on the side that you sleep on so can you imagine what’s worse that having wrinkles on your face? Yeap, more wrinkles on one side that the other..lol!!!

So aside from that wrinkle cream that I’ve been slapping on my face since I turned 40, I’m definitely changing the way I sleep too. I’m gonna put pillows on both my side now to make sure I’m sleep on my back! Phew I feel so much better. Now if only i can find out facts and myths on maxoderm. Lol!

Anyway, I did a blogthings test on sleeping position and this is what it tells me about myself:

Your Sleeping Position Says You Need Peace

You are calm and rational person with a good deal of balance in your life.

Friends consider you to be kind, caring, and truly loyal.

You are easy going and trusting. However, you are too sensible to fall for mind games.

Open to the world, you are not afraid to be yourself.

If you don’t get enough sleep, you are: Able to cope

It’s hard to sleep next to you because: You’re a bed hog

So many things to worry about in life. Sometimes what I worry about might be totally petty to others. Do I care? Of course not. What is important to you might not be that important to me either. So let’s agree to disagree because that’s what make each of us interesting individuals with different thoughts, ideas and opinions. I believe if God wants us to be the same HE would have made us the same. HE loves variety and colors and thus he makes us as such – A variety of people to color his world.

So… you worry about your thick hair and I’ll worry about my thinning one. You worry about those eyes you call too big and I’ll worry about my dark circles under eyes. ..or.. we can all stop worrying and be happy with what we have.. Can we at least agree on that one?

I was just lamenting on how I think I would never get my Permanent Residence status here in Malaysia over at my other blog yesterday. Without that piece of paper, it means I am still a foreigner with no rights and that extends to medical care as well. So.. I’m seriously looking into health insurance quotes these days. You’ll never know when you’re gonna get sick right? Our friend just had kidney stones removed and the cost was a whopping RM12 thousand. Lucky for him, he had insurance. If that had been me? OMG!!

And you know what, even getting a quote posed another problem. I don’t know if I am supposed to get the policy here in Malaysia or do I get one in Singapore. Anyone knows?

Have you ever spoken and immediately regretted it sometimes?. Have you ever wished you had thought about what you were going to say before the words just get uttered out? Have you sometimes wished you could just snapped your fingers and wished it was five seconds ago?

Sometimes we say things without ever thinking how the other party might feel. Sometimes we feel we have every right to say what’s on our mind. To heck with what other people feel. To heck with the repercussions. But what happens when the same happens to you? What if another person did the same to you? Would you bitch about being hurt or are you one of those people that don’t care? Are you one that just shrugged your shoulder and say “hey, it’s not personal”

Me? To be honest about it, I always tend to put a front that I don’t care when in fact I do. It’s never “not personal”. It’s always personal. I think you are just in denial if you think otherwise, as a self-defense mechanism. But what do I do when such things happens. I reflect upon the situation, try to analyze it and see if I could have done it differently and MOVE ON. Either take action or just accept that sometimes it’s just too late. The words are spoken and it’s out there. Lingering, wandering around, for someone to take it or ignore it.

Someone told me, if you want to be seen, stand up, if you want to be heard, speak up and if you want to be appreciated, SHUT UP! lolz

And that is one good advice!

As we leave the first half of 2010, I’m taking time to pause and reflect the year thus far. ..

Can you believe I found these lovely words behind a tea box….

Harmony is the inner cadence of contentment we feel when the melody of life is in tune. When somehow we’re able to strike the right chord – to balance the expectations of our families and our responsibilities in the world on the one hand with our inner needs for spiritual growth and personal expression on the other.

Usually, when the distractions of daily life deplete our energy, the first thing we eliminate is the thing we need the most: quiet, reflective time. Time to dream, time to think, time to contemplate what’s working and what’s not, so that we can make changes for the better.
