I just love my result for this quiz..

You Are Wall Street

You are the type of person who makes things happen. You are a doer.

You are multi-talented. Friends often wonder if there’s anything you can’t do.You are resourceful and capable. You have the uncanny ability to make it all work somehow.

You get results, especially when a pet project is involved. You can always find a little extra motivation.

My yearly social pass is due for renewal and while talking about it with Emila on our way to visit B in the hospital yesterday, I suddenly remembered that someone (not sure who now) had tweeted that the Damansara immigration office has moved.

So I googled it this afternoon and got the new address. Azwaj said he knows the place so that is big sigh of relief otherwise I guess I got to bring along cushion for chair to place under my bum in case we get lost.

Anyway, here’s the new address in case anyone needs it.

If you are looking to buy mens wedding bands for your fiance, why not check out the linked site for some ideas.  They have some nice ones and their prices are affordable too. In fact since Azwaj doesn’t have one and I lost mine.. maybe we should get the matching wedding ones for our 13th year anniversary next year..what say you husband? lol!

I absolutely love this piece of sterling silver necklace from Slane. However since the price is quite high, it’s gonna take a bit of saving on my end to make this wishlist come true.

Whatever it is, I am sure it will be worth every penny when it is in my possession. Sigh.. I’m gonna wish for it real hard.. who knows Santa might hear me this time.. lol!

Most times my furkids will play with anything we give them and that would probably unused paper bag, empty containers and strings. However sometimes, they choose what they want to play. That can be anything from my hanged towel to my vitamin bottles. At times we don’t even know what is missing till it’s time use them. Anyway cats will be cats but wouldn’t it nice if one day out of nowhere they start playing with an eisenhower dollar? hahha.. kaching!

My latest favorite habit nowadays is browsing (and shopping) at sites like groupon.my, milkadeal.com and mydeal.com. I have bought several items from them and so far am a very satisfied customer in terms of both products and delivery.

One of my buys was this spa package from Arowana Beauty Spa. It not only caught my eye because of its price  but also because of its location. Unlike some that are so far from my home, this particular spa is right up my alley so to speak.

[portfolio_slideshow slideheight=300]

As I getting excited about the package that I bought, I remembered my blogger buddy, Emila, who also lives nearby. I thought it would be nice to have company so I told her about the package to see if she was interested. She was!.. Before we knew it we were talking schedule and setting a date.

The RM39 spa package that I bought from Arowana Beauty Spa included:

  • 45-minute full body aromatherapy massage (RM78 value)
    • Love this.. the therapy room as very nice and cozy and my masseuse attended extra to all areas that I was complaining about (neck and right arm)
  • 15-minute ear candling (RM38 value)
    • I was a bit aprehensive about this after reading online how the wax can sometime do harm but after such a relaxing massage and seeing what exactly she will be using, I decided to give it go. No big deal there but I love that my masseuse actually massage my head and neck area while the ear candling was going on.
  • 60-minute face spa therapy (RM120 value)
    • This one was literally a treat for my face. My last facial was in 1999!  Anyway, I love the face and shoulder massage that followed after the facial. I’m not sure if it was just my imagination but I think I actually glowed and I could feel my face tightening after the mask and face massage.. lol!

So to summarize the visit in one word.. FABULOUS!

Location:

Arowana Beauty Spa
No. 328, Ground Floor, Jalan Negara, Melawati Square,
Taman Melawati – 53100 Kuala Lumpur

Whether it’s December or July, it always seems the same. So many events and celebrations that call for gift-giving, and you send flowers or a gift card, perhaps a box of chocolates. Over and over. While all of this is appreciated, no doubt, it probably still caused you undo stress, agonizing over the right arrangement or store. No matter what, it seems you’re always scrambling at the last minute, because of course you don’t keep any of this on hand.

Which is where the savoir of the day comes in: Alcohol! While it might not be the right gift for everyone, it’s generally a pretty safe bet. Even non-drinkers often cook with wine, or serve it to guests in their home. Now that you can easily buy wine online for a great price (including shipping), there’s no reason not to keep a case on hand (as long as you can resist drinking it yourself!). Keep some generic greeting cards and wine gift bags in the house, and you’ll have an instant gift perfect for nearly any occasion. If this seems too impersonal, think about making your own cards. This special touch, coupled with the wine, is practically fail-safe.

If you’ve never ordered wine online, a familiar name that excels in wine and champagne delivery is Laithwaites.co.uk. You can mix and match and pick out wine based on best-sellers, grapes, region, etc. You could even have some shipped right to the gift recipient. An added bonus to keeping ‘gift-giving wine’ at home is that you save more when you buy more. And if purchasing a whole case (or more) of wine seems excessive, know that it’s become the standard for most wine drinkers because of the value. It’s only going to get better with age, after all!

Another fun way to turn wine into an easy but clever gift is to think of a theme. Maybe the gift recipient has always wanted to travel to the wine country in California. Select a wine from Sanoma Valley, and order a wine journal for them to take whenever they get there. If they’re celebrating a special occasion, give them an equally special bottle of champagne along with a sweet treat known for pairing well with champagne, like chocolate-covered strawberries. Most people just want to know you put some thought into their gift, and by following some of these tips, they’ll surely be raising their glass in your honour!
