Shoes are fashionable, sexy, and often uncomfortable. Women feel like they have to suffer for their beauty, but that’s no longer the case. Foot Petals has developed a line of designer insole cushions to allow women to rock the shoes they love in comfort. The insoles are made from high performance urethane known as Poron, which has many benefits including being a shock absorber and repelling moisture keeping feet cool. It also keeps away bacteria and odor, which will allow women the comfort of going sockless in warm weather. They can kick off their shoes and wiggle their toes in the lush grass with no worries of a foul odor accompanying them. Foot Petals help with issues such as arch pain, sliding feet, and blisters from shoes rubbing against skin. They can be used to make those slightly too big shoes fit perfectly, and allow women to wear flip flops without developing painful blisters and raw spots between their toes. They come in a multitude of colors and can be used alone or in conjunction with other Foot Petals styles. The Poron never loses its shape and the insoles are recommended by the American Podiatric Medical Association. They come with adhesive backing to insure they don’t move after placement. With many options, Foot Petals can be used in flats, heels, boots, sandals and other open toed shoes. Foot Petals shoe inserts are affordable, comfortable and best of all, allow women to continue their love affair with sexy shoes, enjoying the compliments without the discomfort.

When you are my age, and I’m not saying that I am that old but yeah, when you are in my age group, you tend to not make a big fuss about birthdays. I mean, I remember other people’s birthdays all the time, making sure I wish them happy birthday via text messages, facebook or twitter, or even a birthday ecard, but my own? … Well, it’s just another number to me and as the number gets bigger, I tend to not want candles at all on the birthday cake, for fear the cake might collapse under the weight of all of them – lol!

That being said, this year I had an awesome pre-birthday party. It wasn’t anything like the birthday parties long island that my overseas friends used to have when they were kids (great products to view by the way if you have kids), and it wasn’t exactly MY birthday, but the pool party was a day before my birthday so it seemed like a good enough celebration right? There was a tent, lights, decorations and even a stage which means entertainment.. and of course there was food. There was plenty of delicious food and drinks, and I told my Azwaj that if it was on my actual day, I would have bought a cake that night! And you know what? As I was looking at the lucky picks, my lucky draw number was called … so YES, I even won something in the lucky draw session that night. How awesome is that right?

I always love the number 44 (that’s me this year) and now it’s another reason to love it more. So far I’ve had an awesome party, won at a lucky draw and just earlier this month, I got a free all expense paid trip to Kuching, Sarawak. Yep, this year is looking awesomely fantastic!

continued from here

After making sure my camera (by that I mean my Galaxy Note phone..lol) was fully charged, both me and Emila proceeded to meet up with the rest of the group from the Media Familiarization Trip to Sarawak downstairs at the lobby. Rose, our guide from Cat Tours, told us the river was nearby the hotel and so we will be walking to our destination. The weather was excellent for walking and it gave us an opportunity to look around and take pictures of the riverside area.

ferry
So here’s our ferry. Nice right?

rivercruise

The Sarawak River Cruise is an excellent way to discover Sarawak. With more than 25 historical landmarks to see, the cruise offers a 360º panoramic view of Kuching City. As of 1st April 2013, tickets prices for the Signature Sunset Cruise will be RM69.90 for adults and RM39.90 for children. Tickets will also now include the 1½ hour cruise with live commentary, cultural performance, free flow orange drink, kuih lapis and a set of their very own Sarawakian Black Pepper Chicken Rice.

Here are some of the pictures I snapped while onboard. There’s not much as I was too busy enjoying the real view.. Ah how I wished Azwaj was around with me.. the view, the breeze, the sunset, the dining onboard after the cruise really puts me in a romantic mood.. lol!

I sometimes wish I have a work area with adjustable levers that move with me as oppose to me needing to adjust to it. I mean sometimes I need to do some work and because of the height of my desk, I need to lower my posture meaning I am close to slouching which I hate coz it makes my back ache. My chair ain’t helping either because it’s old and the hydraulics are off.. I need a new work area!!!

My Dream Work Area

I Love This! All to Myself.. Not sharing with Azwaj!!

Ok.. that’s off my chest.. thank you.. lol!

continued from here….

After lunch, we were transported via Cat City coach that was arranged by the Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) to the Riverside Majestic Hotel which is strategically located in the heart of Kuching’s business, entertainment, dining and shopping district just 20 minutes drive from the Kuching International Airport. Our home for the next two nights 🙂

Upon arrival, we were pleasantly offered warm towel to freshen up and a welcome drink awaits us. After everyone settled down, the Riverside Majestic Hotel dancers appeared and we were greeted with a welcome dance. How nice right?

Riverside Majestic Hotel is a very nice and quite a grand hotel. It houses 241 spacious and contemporary rooms, including suites. Each room has features like free wifi which is important for a blogger like me, individually controlled air-conditioning, IDD phone, minibar, complimentary tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and 32-inch LCD TV with satellite news and entertainment channels.

I understand later that there were a few kinds of pillow available, even aromatherapy ones! I wished I had known earlier, I would have requested for one. Imagine sleeping on a bed of lavender…heaven!

Anyways… moving on to the restaurants in Riverside Majestic Hotel, whatever your fancy, the hotel has it all. Enjoy a wide variety of international and local cuisine at the hotel’s main restaurant, Cafe Majestic with their very varied buffets and ala carte menu to choose from (I’ll cover more of this at my food blog, I promise 🙂

The Coca Restaurant and the River Palace Restaurant which is located on the hotel’s 3rd floor are popular for the famous Coca Thai Steamboat and appetizing Chinese cuisine.

Looking to plan an offsite meeting for your office? Well, look no further as Riverside Majestic has a few venue you can choose from. Check out their packages here.

Ok.. that’s it for the hotel review. We have a full itinerary in front of us. Next up.. Sarawak River Cruise…

Dont’ you just wish that sometimes there was a way to check up on people’s background easily? I mean people may put a bunch of interesting things about themselves on their portfolio and resume that you think it is a miracle that you have found such a perfect job applicant when in actual fact they are not at all what they seem to be. Well now there is and you can easily check criminal background check easybackgrounds with the site linked here. So no more wondering if there is any skeletons hiding in that applicant’s closet 🙂
