Sad to say, since my first mani/pedi session in 2013, I have not gone for another one since then. It’s not because I didn’t want to but because there were so many other offers that more enticing than just a session to do my nails that I could probably do myself with the proper pedicure tools.

Yes I am a Groupon kinda girl and I take pride in getting some awesome offers in the process and yes if I get one mani/pedi offer that is simply too hard to miss, I’d probably take it up and give some TLC to my nails but for now, some DIY session at home will have to do!

Did you go wild with the Black Friday and Cyber Monday offers that just passed? With so many sites offering deep discounts and even Free Shipping on everything, it is very hard to not fall to the temptation of shopping right? Well I managed to keep my wallet intact (grin).. though I did some shopping even before that.

One of the things that I bought was a massage deal for both me and mommy. I desperately needed to get some professional massage but the one that I got in Malaysia wasn’t up to my expectation. I was hoping for something better and boy was I glad I bought the offer deal from Streetdeal Singapore. For SGD18 I got a 60minutes full body massage, back scrub and back mask.. and they didn’t even hard sell me to buy any package after the experience. How awesome is that!

I am now feeling refresh and my left shoulder is not bothering me at all though my feet hurts now from all that walking at Orchard Road… lol!

I was at optician a few days ago and she said the most sweetest thing to me. She said I got very nice teeth and that they are so white and asked me if had done any professional teeth whitening treatment at the dentist.

Now if you know me well enough, you know the dentist is my most dreaded doctor of them all. I guess maybe because during the treatment I would have to be awake and hear all the equipments at play. Yikes! So I was very pleased that my optician seemed to think that I had my teeth done even though I will let you in a little secret, I have not visited the dentist in over 14 years! Lol!

Anyway, I recently got an offer to try out this teeth whitening system from Smile Brilliant. I just got it in the mail today and I can’t wait to try it out and see if my “already” white teeth will become whiter and if it works I am surely gonna recommend it to my optician who was complaining a trip to the dentist would probably cost her a hand and a foot.

I checked out the package and it looked easy enough. I would try it out once I come back from my Singapore trip and post updates here. So stay tuned!

I attended two weddings over the weekend.. and because I knew I’d be meeting tons of relatives that I hadn’t met up for a long time, I naturally wanted to look my best. Anyway, since I don’t generally post selfies of myself on the net, I thought I just share what accessory I wore instead on Sunday. I bought this necklace and earring set some time back while buying some sterling silver cuff for a friend.

Lovely right? I simply love it!

I am an internet shopper addict. There I admit it. Send me to therapy..lol

Although I must say so far my shopping has been limited to spa treatment, massages, facial and electronic stuff like my halogen oven. I have a phobia when it comes to shoes or clothing online because I always like to try those on for size you know. After all, these are stuff that you gotta wear and gotta look good on you right?

That being said, I have graduated, if you can say that, to shopping womens clothing online. I can’t help myself! The dress was just too cute.. lol! So I got to talking to the rep and she told me how to measure myself and all and I did. Well, I actually used a ribbon and measure it against Azwaj’s tape measure because I don’t have a tailor measuring tape.. lol! So after a few days of mulling over it, I took the leap and ordered. The purchase came with free delivery so that was sort of like an incentive.

Anyway, I anxiously waited for my purchase and when it came, I can’t wait to try it on. Whaddaya know.. boohoo the dress was too small for big me.. lol! Looking at the label of the dress it was actually a Medium size whereas my size would be more like Large or XL! Oh well .. good thing I was able to return the dress for full refund of another purchase. Now that I know what sizes to look for, I hope my next purchase would be a more pleasurable one.

Wish me luck!

Women who want a perfect look usually prefer to add some type of hair extension. One of the most popular hair extensions gaining popularity day by day with women is the human hair wig. What was once more popular for the African-American population is now quite popular with all racial groups. With the wigs being made from human hair, they have a more natural look. In most cases, a person cannot even distinguish the hair as natural versus a human hair wig. Unlike the other types of wigs, the human hair wig gives a person confidence and self-esteem.

The fashion world is full of women who adorn stylish and attractive human hair wigs. As a result, many women want to have that same elegance and appearance as these women have. Unlike your natural hair that takes a long time to mature, the human hair wig is instant leaving a woman with the desired look she wants in minutes. Even though human wigs are more expensive than other wigs, most women are very happy to spend the money for the perfect look they achieve with these wigs. Human hair wigs from AdventHair.com are definitely wigs that someone should check out if they are interested in a human wig.

Most women have always wanted to have smooth, long and gorgeous hair, and human wigs give them the chance to do just that. Since the wigs are so appealing, they make a woman feel more feminine and beautiful as well as increasing their self-esteem and confidence. For women with short hair, these adorable wigs give them the chance to achieve a perfect look if long hair is what they desire.

The days when human wigs were only affordable by the rich are long gone. Even though they do cost money, they are not that expensive. As a matter of fact, many women find that it’s actually cheaper to wear a human wig than to keep up with the cost of keeping their natural hair maintained. This is because natural hair requires hair cuts and chemicals to redo hair treatments.

Compared to taking care of natural hair, the process of taking care of a human hair wig is simple. While maintaining your natural hair involves the hair stylist and chemicals, the wig only needs an occasional clipping and some gentle brushing. The normal tools you might use for your natural hair, like hot rollers and curling irons, can be used on the human wigs.

Swimwear has been a popular attire for both women and men for centuries, with women’s wear perhaps being the most exotic. Today, swimwear is a multi-million dollar industry and continues to thrive even in the coldest of climates. Many well-known designers are incorporating swimwear into their work, and are featuring a wide-range of bikinis and one-piece suits in their shows. When spring and summer arrive, stores are often abundant in swimwear. This is especially true for online store fronts, as well, with more and more online stores coming to the forefront specifically geared toward selling high-end swimwear.

Online shopping has never been easier than it is today, with hundreds of stores now transitioning their merchandise to the Internet. Many stores exist solely online and are specifically catered to women’s swimwear. An example of online swimwear is L space swimwear at elitefashionswimwear.com. Physical stores are also creating new online stores that are specifically created with swimwear in mind. Most of these stores receive the majority of their views during the warm-weather months, with many of the profits being experienced during these times. Sometimes, online retailers will sell discount swimwear, making it easier for individuals to purchase high-quality designer swimwear at a fraction of what it costs.

Two-piece bikinis are perhaps the most popular swimwear items available today, with the one-piece being the second bet. The bikini is often sought by women who desire more freedom in their movement while on the beach or by the pool. Others choose the bikini because it allows fuller sunlight exposure to more areas of the skin. But perhaps most of all, swimwear is often chose for its fashion and sense of style. Trends occur each season when it comes to swimwear, and this can be especially true for the basic bikini.

swimwear

Often, online stores will discount last season’s swimwear line to make way for the new merchandise. Online storefronts have become increasingly popular over the years for its ease of use and constant utilization of discounts. More people log on today to research the clothes they want before actually step foot inside a store. This is also another benefit of online stores, especially those that sell swimwear. Some online swimwear stores may feature a virtual dressing room, where a picture of the body is inserted into their 3D software. This software clothes the body in the picture with the selected bikini, two-piece, or other item.

Unfortunately, stubborn fat is a problem that many Americans deal with. If this is something you can relate to, you know how difficult it can be to not only lose weight, but also to slim certain areas of your body. Weight gain can creep up on a person before they even realize it has occurred. Although the extra pounds seem to come easily, it’s far more difficult to make them go. Eating a healthy diet and getting plenty of exercise are, of course, important for everyone, but even by following these healthy habits, some individual’s bodies have a hard time getting back to what they once were. If you are in this situation, there are innovative options out there like non-surgical liposuction that can help you get more from your lifestyle and get you the body you want.

How It Works

Traditional liposuction, which requires surgery, is still a popular choice for weight loss. It is effective, but some individuals would prefer to avoid surgery if possible. Fortunately, other liposuction options are now available. One of these techniques literally freezes fat away. It targets fat cells in a non-invasive way and eliminates them. No cutting is needed. Fat cells are targeted exclusively so surrounding tissues won’t be harmed. There are several important reasons this approach has taken off. One is that because it’s a non-invasive technique, there isn’t a risk of scarring. There is also no downtime. Short periodic appointments are scheduled, and after a few months, you’ll notice your fat begin to disappear. The dermatologist working with you will tell you how often your sessions should occur.

Less Risk

Every surgery, no matter how small, carries some level of risk with it. Why not avoid that risk altogether and choose a non-surgical liposuction technique? You can easily eliminate your fat in a safe, effective manner. Without having to worry about things like surgical complications and scarring, you can feel confident that your body will become what you want it to be. Dermatology center specialists will work with you to develop a treatment plan and help you feel great about your body.

You’ve probably tried all sorts of methods to try and remove that unwanted hair. Most women worry most about any hair they have growing on their upper lip and chin, their bikini zone, legs, armpits, and even their stomach and back. Some women are hairier than others; women that suffer from a hormonal imbalance called Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome often end up growing extra hair thanks to their condition. And thanks to extra pressure that women in American society face, any extra hair growth is considered unfeminine.

One great option that’s become available in recent years is Assara’s laser hair removal. Laser hair removal is a treatment that actually has the potential to give you permanent results. No other hair removal product can come close to giving that result. But it’s not for everyone; the costs for treatment are pretty steep, so if you’re considering laser hair removal, definitely do your research before you try it. Here is a little information about the most common means for hair removal along with how they measure up to laser hair removal.

Depilatory
Depilatory is just a fancy word for those hair-removing creams like Nair. These creams are not suited for everybody because the chemicals in it are highly irritating. The cream works by dissolving the hair and only is effective until new hair growth starts coming in. If you don’t have a skin reaction to the cream, then using this stuff is going to be your least painful option. Unlike laser hair removal, using Nair will only give you results for a day or two at most. It’s also scary to think about putting those harsh chemicals on your skin every couple of days,

Shaving
Shaving is the most common method women use to get rid of unwanted hair. Shaving is potentially dangerous since you’re using sharp blades to cut the hair. Its results only last a day or two, and then you’ve got stubble that makes your legs feel like a porcupine. Shaving is the least expensive, but the time spent shaving every day can really add up over a few decades.

Waxing
Waxing is a preferred option for women who want longer results with their hair removal. Some women wax themselves, but most go to a salon for a professional to do it. Waxing pulls the whole hair out, from the root, and so the result is smoother skin for longer. It is painful, however, and unlike Assara’s laser hair removal, the results are not at all permanent.

You would think at my age I would have gone for plenty of mani/pedi right? Well, you could not have been more wrong. I only had my first session on my last trip back home to Singapore (June 3rd)! lol!

Even that was not intentional. I had come across this free facial offer At Beauty Wellness, Singapore and they were having an offer on their mani/pedi and since I was getting the facial for free, I thought I used the money on mani/pedi instead… and was I glad I did. It was so enjoyable. Having someone washed your feet, cut your nails, clean up your cuticles and massage your legs.. OMG it was heavenly… and then it was done to my hands.. even more marvelous.. lol!

Would I do it again? Well as much I loved it, I doubt I would want to spend the full price SGD80 for it. I would probably look for more Groupon offers or something for my next mani/pedi session.

haircutIt seems like everyone is dissatisfied with their appearance in some way. You may complain that your eyelashes aren’t long enough or your lips aren’t full enough. If you have straight hair, you want curly hair, and if you have curly hair, you want straight hair. No matter what, ladies find something difficult about beautifying. If you are one of those who has curly hair, following are a few tips and styles you may find at a salon in Boston.

Choose Your Cut

If you have curly hair, you may fear cutting it short because of the round afro you could end up with afterward. So it is important to choose a cut that will work with your hair and your face. Stylists recommend keeping your hair at shoulder length or longer. This does mean that you will probably experience a lot more heat year round than your straight-haired counterparts. But it will be the most flattering for you, especially if you add in some layers so your hair doesn’t look too heavy on the bottom. Short hair can work too, if you keep it two to three inches long all the way around, and cut to mimic the shape of your head.

Use Product Wisely

If you have curly hair, you should avoid washing your hair too often. Use shampoo depending on the thickness of your hair—as little as once per week if it is very thick. Use moisturizing products that have ingredients like palm or avocado oil, or Shea butter. You can fight frizz by using lots of conditioner containing silicone when you shower. Let it sit in your hair for several minutes to absorb the moisture. You should also use a leave-in conditioner.

Other Tips

You should know that in order to fight frizz, you need products that seal the cuticle. Various creams and oils can help you seal the cuticle to keep out moisture. When it comes to styling, professionals recommend avoiding heat and using your hands minimally to let your hair air dry with minimal frizz. If you must use heat, use a diffuser. Stylists at a salon in Boston should be able to recommend the best products and other styling tips.

At a salon in Boston that includes spa services, there are many things you can partake of. In the salon, you can choose from all things hair, nails, and make-up, as well as all the products that go along with them.  The spa offers body work, body treatments, tanning, therapies, hair removal, and facials.

Salon Services

You can have your hair cut, cut and blown dry, bangs trimmed, shampooed and styled, just styled, straightened, curls added, or an updo. If you want color or highlights, they can do that as well.  They will start up and touch up locks. Balyage can be done in the salon and was developed in the 70s and is coloring and highlighting done by hand. Perms are available along with hair extensions and retexturing, restructuring, and repair treatments. If you are blow drying your hair all of the time, have too many curls, frizzy hair, dull hair, or find yourself using a flat iron often, you may want to look into a keratin treatment. The cost for a treatment varies depending on how short or long your hair is.

On your wedding day you will want to look fabulous. Not only do you want to look fabulous, but you want everyone in your wedding party to look fabulous as well. The technicians at the salon are prepared to get everyone in your wedding party booked on the big day and there is even an expert that will sit down with you to figure out what everyone needs and how long it will take. They want everyone to have a good experience and leave looking just like you want them to and maybe even better than you or they could have imagined.

Spa Services

Your wedding party would benefit from a visit to the spa before the big day. After a massage and one of the many body treatments, they could spend a little time bronzing their skin. With all the time, effort, and chaos that seem to go into wedding preparations, taking advantage of the spa and salon in Boston will tone the tension down. For hair and body services, a spa and salon is one-stop shopping.

Are you bored with your home? Maybe you’re tired of just a room? Do you like to daydream about mixing it up and switching things around so you enjoy your living spaces more? Have you considered making changes to your house, but are unsure of how or if you’ll do a good job? There are many options for interior design in St. Petersburg, FL, so whether you want to hire a designer or do it yourself, here are some interior design basics to get you started.

Basics

Color—color will change a lot about a room. You can set the mood by choosing a color that invokes certain feelings and give the room character.

Form—this is the shape of any given object and needs to be paid attention to especially in reference to the other forms in the room.

Line—the line of objects in the room is the direction they face or lead you to focus on.

Mass—the size of object that use up space in your room.

Texture—how things literally feel or also look. The textures in a room can change the overall feel as well.

Elements

Focal Point—this is the main point of a room and the place where a viewer’s eye is always pulled back. Whether it is the TV or bed, be sure to know what your focal point is.

Scale and Proportion—scale is literally how big an object is, while proportion refers to it in comparison to the other object sizes in the room. This will make a big difference in selecting furniture, wall hangings, etc.

Harmony and Unity—harmony is how well things work together and complement each other, while the unity is simply whether they all belong in the same room. Obviously each piece you select should be harmonious with the rest of the room and look/feel that it belongs there.

Contrast – this goes hand-in-hand with harmony and unity. The contrast is the difference between any of the basics mentioned above. Slowly add contrast to the room while being sure to keep the unity there.

Variety – this will keep the room from being dull and hopefully help you express yourself more.

Now you are can do your own interior design in St. Petersburg, FL, or find a designer to help you with any stage in the process.

On my last trip to Singapore, I decided that I would bring my mom for a facial spa day. So I looked around at Groupon Singapore and found a perfect one nearby where we live. So on 1st March, both me and mom went for a facial spa day.

The offer was really economical as for SGD$23, we got 75 min Facial, Face Mask, Eye Treatment, Eyebrow Trimming, Neck and Shoulder Massage plus an additional Ampoule treatment. My mom also got to experience her first real spa experience. How cool is that right?

spa day

All in all, it was a really nice experience for both of us and my mom told me her face never felt so smooth and clean before.. lol!

I was with a friend recently and I was complaining about how much weight I have gained since I got married and how I simply hate my double chin. However this friend told me that although I am slightly over my ideal weight, I am in no way fat. I basically need to tone myself more than anything. She also told me that the “double chin” that I have is not because of my weight gain but rather because of aging. She recommended me a moisturizing cream that she is using and I am trying it out to see how it will help me.

There are so many ways to combat the process of aging nowadays. While most people only use over the counter products like creams and serum, there are others who wants fast ways to get rid of aging lines. Some people don’t mind going under the knife with their trusted plastic surgery surgeons while others prefer a less intrusive procedure that are non-surgical with minimal downtime for their transformation.

If it were up to me, I would prefer the less intrusive procedure every time (as in my keyhole surgery in May). Below is a video of Dr. Gavin Chan of the Victorian Cosmetic that shows how a dermal filler is used for cheek augmentation. Dermal fillers are used for a variety of treatment. They can revolumise areas of the face to non-surgically enhance the shape of the face, or to lift the face, as you can see from the video.

I must admit I was cringing away as I was watching the video but the patient looked really calm and there is any blood so that sort of calm me as well… and when I think about going under the knife for the same results, I think this procedure wins hands down for me.

Firstly I would like to thank you blogging buddy Emila. If not for her I would not have bought this package seeing how far away the beauty center is.

Anyway.. after a very satisfying spa day at Arowana Beauty Spa on 4th July, I was sort of addicted to spa-ing and after talking to Emila who said that she doesn’t mind going for the same kind of thing again, I set out to look for other offers. I found one at Sonia Beauty in Kota Damansara. That seems miles away but since Emila is family with the area, we decided to give it a go on 17th July.

eye spa treatment

The package cost us RM29.90 from Mydeal.com and it consisted of :

  • Intensive Eye Treatment
    • It was intensive indeed. My eyes were massage, masked and guasa (I think that is the right spelling) . Even my eyebrows was attended too!
  • Ultrasonic Facial
    • This was basically a basic facial
  • Upper body massage
    • I enjoyed this tremendously. The lady that attended to me was very small and petite and she climbed on on of my back and did some swaying motion on my bums.. I loved it!
  • RM100 treatment voucher
    • If the place was closer to home, I would have definitely made use of this one for another round of massage!

All in all, another worthwhile rainy afternoon.
