We’ve been eyeing this very nice sofa bed from one of the local store. The good thing about this sofa bed is that the structure is all made with steel or is it metal. Well, all I know is that the furkids won’t be scratching on those legs! However when we were there yesterday, the store assistant told us that it was no longer in stock and they don’t know if they will be bringing in anymore.. Argh.. you can just imagine my frustration right?
Oh well, I guess we just have to look elsewhere now. Or maybe we can just buy piano benches like this one. It looks like the leg is made of steel right?

We are on the lookout for a new sofa. Our existing sofa has really been a scratching post for the furkids and it really looks really worn out. So we decided to get a new one and just place the existing one at a corner that they like and really let them use it for their playtime.
We found something we liked yesterday and it was perfect coz it had metal support. Metal equal no scratch post right? lol. But since we are shopping, we will look around and decide after we’ve seen a few more. Anyway, we also saw some lcd tv going on sale but I told Azwaj that if ever we got one of these, we need to make sure that it is mountable on the wall (the kids run like there’s someone chasing them and the whole tv cabinet would shake) or we have to get a flat mount for the tv.
Happy shopping to us!

I must confess that eversince our latest addition, Awal (number 9 furkid) arrived, I have been very lazy to blog or even work. All I want to do is play with him and watch him play with the rest of the furkids. I even lay out the yoga mats in the living room (yeap no carpets… remember?) and lie with him as he sleep. I must say I am a little bit obsessed with Awal.. lol!

I just finished my Sushi dinner and was relaxing with the kitties in front of the television. Gianto was on tummy, kneading his paws “making bread” when all of a sudden a loud “BOOM” from someone playing firecracker was heard. Gianto is a very timid cat and once he heard the loud sound he jumped and clamored off my tummy with claws out and ran for shelter.
Now can you imaging the HOWL I let out at the pain? Imagine four legs with who knows how many sharp claws that came out as he rush off was used on my tummy. I don’t know what the neighbour thought of the howl but they sort of let out a scream too and whoever the person was that lighted the firecracker stopped immediately!
I immediately washed the wound and placed “minyak gamat” on it.. and there were a few all on my tummy. OMG the pain that I had to endure when I showered just now. I was cursing that the person lost three fingers or more in that “explosion” … and I am still cursing.. I mean you can have your fun but when your fun is at my expense.. that is another thing altogether!
So if you love playing firecracker but your “love” is causing me pain.., then considered yourself cursed.. Nuff said!
This is just one of the scratch.. lots more of them!

Wow I am loving how these horse blankets look on the horses. I mean look at how handsome the horse look look in the blanket and the “boots”. Unfortunately such a blanket won’t stay on my fur-kids. They can’t sit still and if there is no sleeve then from a top, it can easily turn into a bottom.. lol!
That being said, I am training our latest furkid, Awal, to start wearing clothes now.. Who knows he can be our supermodel in the near future!

One thing I hate about my marble flooring is that it stains so easily. Sometimes when the kitties puke (and me or Azwaj did not noticed in time), there will be a stain the next morning. Luckily most times we are able to remove it but we dread to think that we might not be able to clean it one day.
Good thing the kitty room is a makeshift laundry area and has tiles instead. I would love to have like garage floor coverings there because they are much more hardy and can withstand the fur-kids scratches but I reckon anything is better than marble in THAT room.
Anyway, am off to bed now. Have a wonderful Thursday all!

Most times my furkids will play with anything we give them and that would probably unused paper bag, empty containers and strings. However sometimes, they choose what they want to play. That can be anything from my hanged towel to my vitamin bottles. At times we don’t even know what is missing till it’s time use them. Anyway cats will be cats but wouldn’t it nice if one day out of nowhere they start playing with an eisenhower dollar? hahha.. kaching!

When the fur-kids get frisky, they get so frisky that sometimes chairs topple, cushions go flying and even the speakers moved. It’s a good thing our television set is the old heavy type and not the flat thin ones or for sure we will have got get one of those flat tv mounts and mount it on the wall for fear that the tv would go splat on the floor when they start stampeding in the living room.
Anyway, so glad we got the kitty room. At least we get some real peace and quiet when they are sleeping in there.

It’s been a depressing week.
As most of you know, my cat, Jam Jam didn’t make it through. After getting home, she refused to eat unless force fed and each time she “smell” her meds and see the water syringe, she would salivate madly. There was also also an instance when I forced the meds and within seconds she was vomiting everything out. By the time we brought her back to the clinic, she was already too weak to fight it. So, YES, my Baby Jam has gone to the rainbow bridge.
On that note, life has to go on. That roadside assistance plan got to be looked into. Yes, the car is dead AGAIN. In fact it happened on the day we sent Jam Jam to UPM for her surgery. Fortunately we were already close to the house when it happened but Azwaj managed to maneuver it safely to a petrol kiosk to top up the brake liquid.
Yeap.. time to move on..

Jam Jam has returned home. Yeay! However there is still a long way to recovery and she is not making it very easy to care for her. Although home, she is still not eating and refusing all medicine. The moment she smell her meds, she start to salivate and by that time it is impossible to feed her anything. So most times, I just sit next to her cage on my yoga mat and try to pacify her and make her comfortable. She also like to walk on her three legs out her cage and park herself on my lap wagging her tail. I think I may very well set up my laptop and work from that corner.

I need some nice modern furniture in my home but most often then not, I always think twice as I know the moment the furniture comes in, they are gonna be scratching post for the kitties. This is happening now and I’m sure it will happen again. In fact, when our current sofa was delivered about a year ago, someone or rather some kitty actually peed on it. Luckily A saw the puddle and managed to clean it off before it really seeped into the cushion. See the dilemma?
I really love this lounge chair though.. sigh..

I’m trying to see this dessicated coconut incident as a positive thing. The kitties are probably trying to tell me to not take in so much junk food and look for diets that work and exercise instead through housework. So I’ve got my housework face and clothes on, my vacuum ready but wait, I’ve not even had my coffee for the morning. Ok Ok LJ.. take it easy.. take a deep breath..
1. Clean the kitty room first
2. Put the kitties back in the kitty room
3. Clean the human room
There.. we have a plan!

We were supposed to to to Temerloh today for a wedding but Nina got suddenly sick yesterday so we decided against going. But then when I woke up this morning she looked better so I went back to sleep fully intending to wake up before noon and yet here I am just just only waking up. Then A told me to not be surprised when I went left the bedroom and I thought what happened right? Well apparently the kitties got hold of my Sagon yesterday and now the whole house is full of Sagon everything! Oh now not only do I have to worry about searching out weight loss pills that work, I got to worry about searching out dessicated coconut on all corners! Arrghhh kitties!!!

Baby Jam has found legs! lol! She is like a little magician. One minute she’s here, and the next she’s there. She loves sleeping in corners causing me to grab my led flashlights each night to search her out. She is so cute I feel like biting and “eating” her.. lol!
I’m sure gonna miss her when she grow up. But for now, I’m just enjoying her cute walk, her cute yawn, her cute little shocks when she encounter something new.. Ah Baby Jam.. I love you.. heheh…

I think one of the things that I would like to look into is getting some custom blinds for my living room. I love curtains but with the kittens around, I’m afraid it might not be very long before my curtains would be shred apart and if I’m really unlucky, the whole curtain rails might just fall off on them as they are climbing up the curtains (will have a picture of them up at BloggerCats soon). Yeap! They, especially Jesse, who is the lightest of the three, loves to climb everything and my curtains are one of them! Argh… I can’t wait to get them all fatten up so that they’ll be too heavy to climb anything.. lol!

Ever since Aggie’s been using the buster collar, the kitties have not been locked up in the kitty room. They are having free reign of the house and are having a field day enjoying their freedom. I also have been spending more time outside the study and perched in front of the tv with the ever loyal Miss Fly, my notebook computer of three years, to spend more time with Aggie. You know, I forgotten how much I enjoyed watching tv.. lol!

Just when I thought May would be major event free… I got another sick kitty.
This time, it’s my princess Aggie. She has a ear infection that is pretty bad that caused here to scratched her ears so much causing it to bleed. The doctor has given her steroid and antibiotics and she has another appointment on Saturday.
So all of my kitties are now in the human room and I’m taking the chance to clean the mosaic tile in the kitty room. Now it’s all nice and clean for when they sleep in there again.
