wedding anniversaryToday marks 12th years marriage to the man I want to spend the rest of my life with, my darling Azwaj.

It has been a journey full of ups and down. It has been a journey of happiness and sadness, of laughter and tears. It has been a journey full of health and sickness… but through it all, one thing remain constant and that is our love.

This song reminds me of our love. Groovy and cool on so many levels.

Firstly let me just wish all my family and friends a very happy “Selamat Hari Raya” and Maaf Zahir. It’s been a fantastic two days of celebration here for me and my family and there is more to come for sure. It is made all the more merrier with the presence of my mom who decided to spend this very auspicious time this year with me and Azwaj here in Kuala Lumpur. Made me kinda wish I had made something momentous for this Hari Raya like the creation of my own special coin or something from this site I found that made challenge coins as well.

Oh well, maybe next time.. Anyway.. here’s hoping all of you are having as wonderful a time as we are over here… Selamat Hari Raya all!

We haven’t shop for a special gift for this special event that we are attending on today simply because we don’t know what is appropriate. We are taking our own sweet time as we want to make it a really nice gift. I remember this gift that my BFF, Mariuca, has given her mother and I think that might work but of course we need nice pictures to put in the it so perhaps we can get some nice shots today upload it and then give it to the couple. In fact the more I think about it, I think this would make a perfect gift for most occasions, birthdays, weddings, showers, even graduation gift college.

It’s so hot here that I definitely do no need any rain boots to attend my 25th year Broadrick Secondary School Reunion. In fact it was so hot that most of the guys were wearing shorts as you can see from the pictures below. Nevertheless it was so enjoyable that I talked and laughed so much that I almost lost my voice, which would be bad since I got another dinner on Sunday night to attend.

Most of my school mates said that I had become more talkative than when I was in secondary school, which I think is a good thing. I guess all this years has given me the confidence to be more vocal and place myself in the limelight.. lol! The group that I was used to mixing around with when I was in secondary school was also not there so I had to mixed around with another group so I’m guessing that might be it too.. They never really saw the real me back in school back then since we were not close and only realised that I’m so lovable now.. lol!

Anyway, I had a great reunion and I look forward to another one real soon.

Last year my Chinese Horoscope had great things to say about the year 2009 for me. It predicted great opportunities and me making great progress in my career… and guess what, it was true. My online business prospered like I never imagined and great and new opportunities did open up for me.

This year, my zodiac horoscope for 2010 promised Pisceans another great year in career, finance, health and love department.

It is predicted that my professional status would improve, there would be good gains from investments and speculation (which sets me to think to hold on to that investment portfolio for another year) and marriage and love ties would also remain strong. Health wise, Pisceans are predicted to remain healthy throughout the year though we are advised to stay off junk food (oh no!)

On that note, I’m so looking forward to 2010. I hope you are too! Happy New Year Everyone!

I must say thank you to all my guests who turned up on Saturday’s “Raya Makan-Makan” not only for turning up but also because I know some of you guys had to climb up the stairs to reach my 6th floor apartment. I say “SOME” because really the lift was acting up and while some had the good luck to use the lift, my pregnant friend Nurul had to climb up those flight of stairs!

I should really get the management to install some ramps or even skateboard ramps, next to the stairs here then at least people don’t have to climb up or down.. we can slide and glide our way around here.. lol!

Today was an enjoyable day. We had our very Raya Makan- Makan and despite losing my voice because of talking and laughing so much, it was well worth it.

Our first guest arrived at 12.50pm and our last guest left at 9pm sharp. Azwaj gets to meet up his buddies from school that he had not seen for fifteen years and I get to get better acquainted with Bem69 and Soulie (Thanks guys for coming!)..

Oh this was what I cooked up!!

I’m dead tired now and will retire after I shower in a bit.

apron

I woke up this morning feeling refreshed after 8hours of sleep last night and am all ready to tackle the kitchen chores to prepare for my Raya-Housewarming sort-of event tomorrow. This is the first time I’ll be cooking so many dishes on my own and I’m excited.

This is also our first time having this kinda event at our home. I’ll be cooking my Sambal Goreng, Curry Chicken and Rendang and Azwaj would be doing his oxtail soup.

Oh now I’m really excited to get started… LOL!

Wowee.. A lot of FIRSTS this year! There was that first hospital stay, first voiceover experience and now my very first experience as a radio deejay!!

You guys know about Azwaj’s new project over at MyEvo right? Well, they needed a female voice on the radio so they thought I was perfect for their English segment. I was hesitant at first but after much convincing from Azwaj and the gang, I relented and said “Yes”.

I must admit it was nothing like I thought it would be. I was among friends so although I was very shy at the beginning, I warmed up easily. However, I did not know what to say and I know I sound very amateurish when it was all done and finished.

They had me said a few words and introduced some songs all in row and then they edited those clips to interspersed with the songs. It was all done professional, only the deejay, that’s me.. needed a lot of polishing..kenyit Oh well.. that’s why it’s call a FIRST right?

Oh also.. look for for Music Monday, where I’ll feature one of our star over at MyEvo ok 🙂
