The Lure of Caesar's Palace

 

I awoke in a beautiful suite at the Caesar’s Palace and a luxurious room it was. The bed was huge and comfy that makes me feel like I don’t want to wake up. The view was amazing and most importantly was the smell of coffee that Azwaj had probably ordered for breakfast. Ah this is the life I thought.. lol!

After rolling around and falling asleep for another 10minutes, it was really time to wake up. After all I was in Las Vegas! After breakfast, we decided that today we didn’t feel like venturing outside and decided to explore Caesar’s Palace instead. With their casinos, restaurants, shows and things to do at the property, we are sure we would enjoy ourselves totally today.

Because both of us were not really gamblers, we just loiter around the blackjack tables, watched as people played roulette and crabs and after we were tired of that, we tried our luck on the slot machines. We didn’t win anything and stopped after we both lost the money we set aside for that.

Then we checked out what shows we could watch. Celine Dion was in the house people. So yeah we bought tickets for that one. I mean what is Las Vegas if not to watch and experience Celine Dion at the Caesar’s Palace right? Since the show was going to be at 7.30pm, we had time for a spa treatment at the Qua Bath & Spa. We went for the couple’s massage and I did my nails 🙂

We returned to the room, had an early dinner delivered to our room and got ready for the show… and an awesome show it was.. Bedtime was midnight.

I had an awesome time in Las Vegas… in my dreams that is.. lol!

My Dream Closet

If I had all the money in the world, I would love to get some pull out shelf for the kitchen and after that I want to redo my dressing room (which is actually the guest room..lol). I would love to have a walk in wardrobe but failing that even an awesomely organised closet with lots of hangers, pants ranks or even a pull down closet rack..

Sigh.. I guess I need to work harder eh?

well at least my shopping list will be a RFID Blocking Secure Wallet Ladies Compact Tri-fold.

If you look at the video below you will see why as so many of us including myself are already using contactless cards for our credit card or even debit card.. you know those cards that just need waving at the store and the item is paid for.. Yeap those cards. It’s pretty scary how easily the information on those cards can just get captured and we don’t even know that we have been robbed.

Well.. are you getting one too after this or are you just gonna wrap your wallet up with tin foil? Lol!

I Want the Timberland Earthkeepers Rudston Clog

A while ago, my cousin posted a picture of her and her hubby attending a wedding in Singapore. As I was looking at the photo, one thing stood out and that was her SHOES!

I immediately commented on how I love her shoes and when her husband answered I found out that was “Timberland Earthkeepers Rudston clog”. I love it so much and immediately Googgled to find how I can get my hands on them. I didn’t see the shoes on any of the local Timberland sites so not sure it I can still find it in the store :(…

So.. if anyone seen them around.. please let me know ASAP!

Just Imagine

One of the things that I would do if we have a patio (aside from having fantastic outdoor patio flooring) is to install either a big swing or a huge hammock like the picture below. I can just imagine sitting in it with my kitties all sprawl next to me while we enjoy the nice breeze and awesome view.. Sigh…

Asus PadFone - It's A Phone, Tablet and Netbook

 

I was going my facebook timeline when I saw an offer for a phone call ASUS PadFone. As I love new gadgets I thought I’d give it check.

I’ve yet to check out this phone in detail as there are so many reviews out there but from what I can see this phone can be “docked” into its PadFone station and instantly it converted into a tablet.. then if you buy their keyboard accessory, it is instantly turned into a netbook! How awesome is it right? Three gadgets in one! I am loving the idea.

In case you are interested Ipmart is selling it at RM2,209.73.

I so love love love this phone.. lol!

Loving Silver

I absolutely love this piece of sterling silver necklace from Slane. However since the price is quite high, it’s gonna take a bit of saving on my end to make this wishlist come true.

Whatever it is, I am sure it will be worth every penny when it is in my possession. Sigh.. I’m gonna wish for it real hard.. who knows Santa might hear me this time.. lol!

Dreaming of a Dream Vacation

Now that my surgery date is finalized, me and Azwaj have a much clearer picture of when we can plan our vacation. It will definitely be sooner then later and I can’t wait.

Although some sort of Portugal holidays would be nice, this time around however, it’s more about the room or suite than anything else. I mean who wouldn’t enjoy a Portugal holiday with the wonderful weather, golden sand beaches, the luxurious hotel at economical prices and tourist attraction but since we would have already spent a bundle on my surgery, we wanted to keep this vacation local. Portugal would have to wait till another day 🙂

Having said that, we still want a local hotel that meet our wishlist. What’s our wishlist? Well we want a beautiful room for one as we also plan to take lots of pictures. We want a bathtub or a Jacuzzi if possible and on top of everything else, we want a private pool.  Unfortunately since the pool is not the heated kind (at least we don’t think so), we plan to go during a hot season so we can totally enjoy the pool. I mean one can’t expect to be able to swim too much if the water is too cold right?

Anyway, check out this beautiful hotel in Portugal. I hope the local hotel that we’ve chosen will be as nice!

A Day of RnR

On my last trip to Singapore, I met up with friend who said she would love to come with me to the Singapore Universal Studio. She went there once with her colleagues and really enjoyed it and said that she would love to go again with me. I am super excited to say the least especially since I know she enjoys the thrilling rides as much as I do! We have not really planned when to go but I am supposed to give her ample notice so she take leave from work. We plan to go on a weekday to avoid the weekend crowd.

I know it’s only in my homeland Singapore and not like a all inclusive costa adeje holidays where I can enjoy, Jeep safaris,  Camel rides,  or  Deep sea fishing, but I am really looking forward to some RnR especially since I may have to go for surgery again in the coming months.

That dream vacation with Azwaj may have to wait due to unforeseen circumstances but I sure plan to make this one day even come sooner than later.

Medical Alert Bracelet WishList

Yesterday was the 1st anniversary of Mama’s demise. It all seems so surreal that sometimes we still talk about her in the present tense as oppose to the past and sometimes we still expect her to walk down the stairs when we go visiting Abah at his home. We all miss her for sure and as time heals the sorrow, the memories live on…

The living continue to live too. Abah has refused to move in with us or his other children as he still treasures his independence. Though generally a healthy man, he still has some complaints about backache and sometimes shortness of breathe that makes us think getting him one of those medical alarm bracelet a great idea.

How awesome would that be for both my mom and Azwaj’s abah right? Unfortunately the service is not available here or in Singapore yet but the idea behind this concept is absolutely brilliant. With the bracelet that serve as a personal help call button, our senior citizens can lead their independent lives but still be within help distance anywhere they are.

Anyway, until such service becomes available here, I’ve been calling my mom almost everyday, same as Azwaj to his father,  to make sure they are well all the time.

After all this bout of illness on both my part and the kitties.. I am so ready to go for a vacation but alas the vacation funds are nowhere near where I expect to it.. hahah. No worries though…Paris ain’t going anywhere and life is still good…

A Hot Tub Wish

It’s been a hot day and it looks like it’s gonna be a hot night. I just finished taking a hot shower though if I had my way I would love to take off the hot tub covers and just soak in there for a while. Oh wait.. I don’t have a hot tub :(.. bumer for sure.  Oh well.. here’s to a hot tub that overlooks the mountains and a beautiful sunset! A girl can dream right?
