For most people tax fever reach it’s peak in April especially when the due date is approaching. Not so for me, fortunately. I am one of those people that are always early. In fact the moment I get my tax return form from my employer and the website open for submission, I think mine would be among the first few to get submitted. Lol.
I don’t know about other country but where I come from, submission for taxpayers like me who does not have a lot of asset and single (at that time) was made very easy. There wasn’t any need to make copies of anything and no need to submit any hard copy of any forms. We just sign in using our SingPass, enter what we see on our annual income statement, deduct any allowable expenses, hit submit, print the acknowledgment slip, file it and forget about it till your assessment comes in. Even then, we could pay the taxes in installment 🙂
Relatively easy right? However people with assets generally need assistance in tax matter and almost always require tax extension form 2010 for instance. I reckon that is what book-keeper and accountants are around for right or for those that prefer to do their taxes themselves, a tax preparation software can come in very handy when assembling their return. Whatever the choice, just make sure you submit on time after the extension has been approved. We wouldn’t want to upset the tax department now do we?
Cheerio…
